Just put down my deposit!
I really lucked out today. Found a local STL dealership with an open allocation and no markup! Put my deposit down today for a Sept build date.
I'm very excited, this is probably the perfect car to move up from my E46 M3 Competition. It's around the same size, lighter, more power and potential for a LOT more, AND to top it all off better fuel economy. Now, do I get VO or AW and some vinyl to create a 2002 Turbo or E36 M3 LTW theme? |

Congrats!
What dealer did you get it from? I put a deposit down in late May for an allocation with Plaza. Just got word yesterday my car moved into 111 status and should be built later this month or early August. We'll have to meet up once we both have our cars. I went with AW. |

Got mine from Suntrup West County. I called Autohaus and Plaza, both told me no way. Newbold would take a $1k deposit to put me on a list if someone cancelled or they got another allocation. Suntrup said we've got one, bring your deposit. So I did! |

Congrats! I ordered mine from Autohaus- their 2nd allocation. It completed production yesterday, and I have PCD scheduled for 9/7. We will have to get together when everyone gets their cars.

Wow. I talked with them, (Suntrup) and i'll have to check my notes, which I left at work... but IIRC, as recently as July 01, they had been asking for $2500-5K over MSRP.

Damn, I'm glad they didn't do that today! I'd be interested to see who you talked with and if your notes corroborate your post. I was honestly shocked they had a slot AND werent asking a premium.

Checked my notes... I remembered partially correctly.. My first contact attempt, I spoke with a lady named Marisa, who indicated that they had 3 allocations, and all were sold. I still remember calling back again and being advised they were selling over MSRP.. but I don't have it in my notes.. For obvious reasons, I wasn't really logging whenh companies wanted over MSRP..
At the very least, I can confirm that you did have a stroke of luck.. Either they got an additional allocation or had someone back out, because they indeed were indicating at one point they were sold out. |

Finally got Lady Luck to be on my side! It really did feel like a right place, right time sort of moment when I called up so I seized it. Anyone want to buy a VERY well cared for 06 M3 Competition? |

Sorry to dig up a old thread, but I was able to secure an allocation with Marissa at Suntrup last week. According to her, someone dropped out and I'm supposedly #2. I put down a $1500 deposit and have a signed buyer's order. She confirmed with the sales manager that the other guy backing out did free up an allocation. The production is Sept-Oct sometime, but I don't have other information.
ZCPM3.....Any tips on getting some firmer info from them? Can you share the allocation story mentioned above? V/r, Mike. |
