I'm glad that someone is actually creating unique parts for the 1er though, finally.

Its not easy to get a good, loud agressive exhaust in Germany... there are too many rules ( god damn, my english is bad ). If you buy an Eisenmann or Bastuck in the US, they sound louder, better than the German Version (US Version = only Export (without TÜV, you need that in Germany otherwise youve got serious problems with the Cops). It´s not that easy in Germany

The europeans do have ti tough due to the strict TUV laws.
in the US, we offer these babies with the straight through Y-pipe which is better for performance and sound, instead of the resonated versions.

Also, the quad set up is not new to just Bastuck, companies like Eisenmann, Supersprint, Arqray all have used these pipe rerouting technique to build quads for cars that normally cannot accomodate a dual canister design. However, Bastuck does make use of a chamber with in the original muffler to release gas from both sides. It is much like having one chamber and 2 outlets sticking out from both ends (except in this case one side is longer).

Also, the Turbo cars are much harder to get a louder sound on the BMW's, without introducing much more drone and sounding like a fart can.

The quad is more personal preference than anything but I just really love how this one turned out. The diffuser is a little "chunky" in my opinion but a nice solution for those looking for a no-cut solution on the quads.

thank you HondaGoneRogue and we will make sure that the 1Addicts members get as good of a price as possible, once the units are ready to be delivered.

I believe that they make this exhaust in your fitment also. You would have to call Bastuck personally. They will help you out.

Bastuck does have 130i systems. ACtually they had that before the 135i.
But I have to check about E81 as I only know of E87 fitments.

I like this system quite a bit, although it seems to sit very low with that diffuser.

Any more sound clips of this exhaust, maybe with some variation in set up? I love the initial growl but it flattens out rather quickly IMO.

I want the racing (midpipes) but I am in the process of moving so once everytjing settles down I should have a good vid hopefully without the resonators. Maybe even DP's.

Ya. Only way to make Bastuck louder and meaner sounding is to get the race "Y" pipe which is a free flowing resonator delete and mid cat delete pipe. And of course is not TUV certified. Although im not worried about it being too loud around cops around unless its during cold start. lol. But cops dont hang out on my street.
In fact. I passed a couple cops on the autobahn a week ago and wasnt worried about the sound and neither where they.

I would have to say my set up is the perfect decibel in recpect to any RPM range.

This exhaust has a lot of burble when letting off the gas.. I think it sounds mean. I heard a nice 2010 mustang go by me recently that had the same sweet burble.

you make it even by letting the left side drop down to match the right side. No other way cause of carbon filter .. exhaust was made to be lower on both sides..

Are you sure about that? Then why does the system still fit the diffuser? If it was made lower AFTER the charcoal box was discovered, wouldn't it hang too low past the diffuser? I gotta get under the car and take some pics.

Hey benrappaport

Heres some pics of the exhaust and the hangars. You have to go to Bastuck.de and find their moddified hangar they intall on the right side. Its a metal rod attached to a flat peice.

Heres pic..

your exhaust company you selected sucks. lmao

Ben, i dont think you understand. the left and right tips will be lower overall. You need a new diffuser so you wont have a gap like this : http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439798

thats pic of my 3d design diffuser which is same size as stock diffuser but has cutouts on the right side.. The right exhaust sits below the carbon filter as you can see in above pic.
