Will this configuration fit a 128 without any fender modifications? maybe a spacer if needed but avoiding any rolling/pulling at this point

18x8.5 +35mm 18x9.5 +32mm

on stock M-sport suspension and running 225/40 front and 255/40 rear?

My car's duty is really 70% track and 30% street.

Im running an extreme setup which I would really like to hang on to. The setup is a square 255/35R18 Dunlop Direzza ZII on 4x BMW style 261 RIM's (18x8.5 ET52 with 10mm spacers in the front).

These fit in my fenders (not rolled or pulled) on stock springs + dampers + M3 Front control arms, and camber plates. My front camber is set at -3.2*. Ive done a full year of lapping events with this set up.

I just got a very good deal on a brand new set of KW ClubSports. Im concerned with above wheel and tire fitment, as I heard the KW CS cannot be setup at stock height, and spring might rub on tire.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I found this great wheel clearance calculator. It compares your stock wheel +tire size + offset, to another combo you are considering, then tells you how much clearance you gain or lose in relation to the strut and fender.

I think this tool could be a good addition to this thread ...

That is nice. e90post has one in their tire section. Wish it was in all of the forums for bimmerpost.

Not a chance. Front will work with camber, but the rears aren't happening. I rubbed on 17x8.5 +50 w/ 255/40R17 in the rear until I stiffened up the dampers.

Came across a good deal on pre-owned RIMs and tires ...

Would a square set of APEX ARC-8 18x9 ET42 with 255/35/18 Hankook work on a 135i?

Im running a square 255/35R18 tire setup with four style 261's 18x8.5 ET52 RIMS. I use 10 mm spacers, and -3.2* camber in the front to fit these already. I get minor rubbing on passenger side during hard cornering at the track.

According to the calculator tools, it looks like I would extend 6mm further into fender, and 6mm close to the strut, than current setup, so probably not possible...

Thanks guys!

I'm not 100% but I'd think you would hit the strut unless you used spacers.

Would I be able to fit 18x9.5" up front? If so, what size tire? 225/45?

Federal RS-R tires

The last two seasons I've run a set of Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. The fronts are pretty good but the rears are toast. I'm taking a long shot this time around. I bought a couple 255/35 18 Federal RS-R tires in a desperate attempt to get some grip in first and second. I'll probably end up making a new thread once I get these on the car in April to review and do an initial comparison with the DW's.

Since I purchased these it looks like the price of the DWs has come down and the price of the RS-Rs has gone up but to compare numbers... At the time I bought them the RS-R's were $285 shipped. Right now the Continental's are $387 shipped. Sill, if the Federal tires grip like they should and last 1 whole season I'll be very satisfied with them. We'll see.

Why doesn't TireRack carry these BTW? Are they really that bad?

Notice how much wider they are than the stock 245/35 18 run flats.

Without fender rolling or camber? No.

The front could fit, but no chance on the rear with this tire size.

With 2 degrees of negative camber and some fender rolling, you don't think it's possible?

I have no problem adding some rear camber and rolling the fenders.

Hey all,

Will the 19" 225M wheels fit on our cars? I like them and want to give them a shot.

8x19 front ET 37
9x19 back ET 39
If possible, what tire sizes would be available? Fenders are already rolled, and I'm on KW V1 coilovers.

Check this dude out and his specs, everything is possible with the right stretch, camber and pulled fenders

I would go with a 255/35 tire. with this tire, fender rolling and maybe some negative camber it should work.

a other version to fit it is to change the rear wheel hub. If you change the rear wheel hub with the wheel hub from the E9x 335i you have 10mm more room. but you also need the E87 130i Perfromance rear brake disc.

here more information about the hub-change: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...&highlight=hub
