An automatic 240HP Accord V6 or 268¨HP Camry V6 will win over a 325i, manual or auto, want it or not. A match for a 330i.

It is not like if the E90 was a light beast.

I second that. Accord's are well known for their high resale value. They consistently make most if not all of the top 10 resale value lists.

What's all this talk about this car will OWN the other car? There will be no ownage between the two. It should be a fairly close race

You have to be at least 18 to race, or else you will need parental consent

The 07' Camry w/ 268HP are no light beast either. In fact, the curb weights for it and the 330i are almost identical.

330i - 3417 [3450] lbs- [sport]
07 Camry- w/ the 3.5- 3,495 lbs

The 0-60 times are about .5-.6 (6.8-6.9) seconds slower then the 330i auto so it would take a really good Camry driver and a really bad 330i driver to make it a match.

I was easily pulling away from the one who tried messing with me so all the extra HP must not translate well at higher gears.

I see no point in threads like "Do you think I can beat ___" or "Which one would win? E90 or___"
either don't race, or race THEN post what happened.

If this race has to have a winner, I'm hoping it's Darwin.

go ahead and race,

as long as you're at a track, (which i hope you have available near you)

doesn't take too much skill to stomp the noisy pedal and hold the wheel straight

You brought this painful story

The car was bought in 2004 with a rush decision made because I did not want my wife to drive a Z3 to work through all these highways since we moved house. So, I thought it is safe to buy a Accord because it has good resale and reliability. I test driven both 2.4 and V6 and lucky I did not buy the V6.

In Asia, especially HK, people no longer likes the 04 Accord because it is made in Thailand and also China built the same car in country, so they are everywhere. So most people here buy the Euro version built in Japan.

The Thailand Accord 's interior rattlings is horrifying even day-1. Other than that and the styling , the Accord is still good for day2day commuter but no excitement whatever so.

the only excitement I found on an accord is when they put a manual tranny on a sedan, and its 1 in every 100 cars that they do it. cant wait to see their version of steptronic next year

03-06 Accord V6 auto: 0-60 in high-6 range and 15.0-15.1 @ 92-93 mph stock (lots of forum members)
03-06 Accord V6 man: 0-60 in 5.9s, and 14.4-14.6 @ 96-97 mph stock (lots of forum members)

325i 6MT: 0-60 in 6.7s (BMW), 1/4 mile in 14.7 @ 94 mph stock
325i 6AT: 0-60 in 7.2s (BMW), probably low/mid-15's @ 90-91 mph
330i 6MT: 0-60 in 6.1s (BMW), probably low/mid-14's @ 97-98 mph
330i 6AT: 0-60 in 6.3s (BMW), probably mid-14's @ 95-96 mph

A buddy of mine has done 14.6 @ 96 in his stock E46 330Ci 5MT for reference, and I know a thing or two about Accords. With the specific race in question (325i 6AT vs Accord V6 auto), I think the Accord definitely has the edge and it's their race to lose. But since he just got his license, knows nothing, and is talking trash, historically the odds are stacked way against him then. He probably won't know to turn off the traction control which will cripple the car off the line, or will make some other n00b mistake. People who talk trash like this almost never win. And whomever said it was right. 240hp in a car with that poor of handling, steering, and braking is just asking for trouble. When these cars first came out in 2003 I cannot tell you how many posts per week on the Accord forums there were about dumb kids curbing their cars on hard corners or otherwise getting into wrecks with them. The car has lots of power, but the rest of the car just can't keep up with it. Very bad car for a n00b driver to have for sure. n00bs drive it thinking it's a Ferrari or something, but then they find out that the brakes stink and cannot stop the car, and that with wimpy tires and a 60f/40r weight dist all the car does is plow right ahead in heavy oversteer when you try to turn it at the limits, and hence curbing and wrecking the cars. The BMW is a much better balanced car.

Do you see something wrong with that number? No way in hell that the accord can be faster than the e90, not even close.

240HP vs. 255 HP

Hmmm
