Does this mean that delivery and options remain at 08 price levels?

Other 1er specific news:

* 128i Coupes and Verts Cold Weather Packages (ZCW) now includes the heated steering wheel

* Heated steering wheel is a standalone option for 135i Coupes and Verts that requires the Cold Weather Package. The option was not added to Cold Weather because it cannot be ordered in combination with the sport package. (I don't know if this means that you can't get Cold Weather + sport on the 128i, too.)

* Active Steering is no longer an option for 128i models.

128i Coupe and Vert ZCW = $900.00 (new price)
135i Coupe and Vert ZCW = $600.00 (unchanged)
135i Coupe and Vert heated steering wheel (Option 248) = $150.00

Thank you Thank You!

I found this interesting:

All-new Smartphone Integration Option
A new Smartphone (for instance iPhone) Integration option will be available starting with October 2008 production for $150. Once installed, the option charges the phone, allows access to music stored within the phone, and can improve telephone reception. Smartphone Integration does not take away from the features of the iPod/USB Adapter; meaning that a customer will still have the USB and AUX inputs available. Smartphone Integration requires an accessory snap-in adapter to fully integrate the option into an X5, X6, 1, 3, and 6 Series. Snap-in adapters and phones compatible with this new option will be announced shortly.
###

This makes me wonder IF the revised IDrive is "going live" as soon as MY 2009 production starts up late this month (August) or early Sept?

I wonder if this "option" is just a $150 option/part that you can get from your dealer in Sept or if it is factory installed only???

Has anybody talked to their CA's yet about this

I'm a bit confused on the heated wheel issue... For those of us with 135i's with sport package, does that mean you can't get the heated wheel at all, or that there's no heated M-sport heated wheel? Confused...

I bet if you order sports package, you can get the cold weather package BUT NOT the heated wheel. My hunch is that they don't have a heated M Wheel?

awesome, about time the pricing came out. Hopefully all the other options stayed the same. I'm also confused on the smartphone intergration. Does it now mean, i can play music off my iPhone without using the USB connector? IF so, i might skip that option all together.

increase is between 2% and 2.1%

That is less than the 3% many people were predicting.

Oh yeah. That makes sense. I couldn't figure it out either, at first.

And I am a little relieved at the pricing. Not as bad as I was fearing. The 135i may still be in the running for me financially, too....although since I have to choose, I'm not sure if I want the sport seats or the heated steering wheel more right now. :iono:

This may sound stupid but are there going to be any cosmetic exterior changes to the 1? I've seen a few spy photos but haven't noticed much.

And do you guys think it would be more cost effective to get an 08 1-series as opposed to the 09's even if the increase is a meager 2%?

Probably, if you can afford to buy one now (though the 135i may include a fix to the whole fuel pump issue for the '09s). I think the only real change is the heated steering wheel.

I am planning on doing a Euro Delivery next summer when we go on vacation, so I don't have a choice.

@ JLight: I've sat in both, but probably wasn't paying enough attention either way. What's the real difference between sport seats and regular seats. (Also, if it makes a difference, I'm not planning on getting power seats.)

So the next pricing question is how much did dealer invoice change? My deal for my 2009 is XXX over the dealer invoice vs. XXXX off the retail. Anyone seen what the new invoice pricing is yet?

R.

The document says it's going to be posted later in the week on CenterNet. I'm sure it will leak, just as this did.
