What happens when you trust a SHADY Tire/Wheel shop!!

This poor guy who owns a e46 decided he wanted Volk le37 rims. He calls up a shop local to him that *happens* to have what he wants in stock. Of course, trusting the shop, he goes for it! The stupid shop rips the guy off by selling him the wrong application for his car. He was sold M3 offsets for the front and regulare e46 offsets for the rear. Now, I'm guessing the shop knowingly did this because how can you not know offsets if your in the business? Anyhow, I think the shop was more interested in moving in stock inventory for a quick buck rather than taking care of the customer and special ordering what's right.

Anyhow, see this guys poor story and pics HERE

couldn't he just swap fronts and rears?
current setup -
19 x 8.5 30 ft
19 x 8.5 43 rr

if he swapped those it'd pull the fronts in and push the rears out...

wow...got to feel sorry for this guy. Bad business by his local wheel shop...disgraceful.

On another note, HRC, it made me even more depressed reading about how "happy" someone was getting their LE37t's.

I don't even come to e90's that often anymore cuz i'm so depressed over my wheels.

Nope! His LE37 rears are 19x9.5 +45 (which is correct for his E46) and the fronts are 19x8.5 +30. He's screwed! He has my (e90) front rims and e46 rears.

No Bucky! Hang in there man! Our order went in first week in January, so if you start counting there, we have about 4 weeks to go! We are still on schedule!

I'll tell you something, one of the main distributers wanted to sell me this fitment for my e90. They were pretty sure too. No shit. If I didn't know better, I (or you) would have HAD that exact setup a LONG time ago! We'd be rolling like the special yellow school bus. They still have those fitments here (US) in stock now...no waiting! It's the rear +30's that we are waiting on. So we could've been "happy' with that setup or do what we're doing and getting the right setup instead. it's worth waiting on man! You know these aren't rims that you can just order on Tirerack! Satisfaction will come man! Hang in there bro!

Opps! Did you mean this "The M3 front's are 19x8.5, +30, the e46 is 19x8.5, +43..." I meant the front rims he currently has as opposed to what he needs, same width, just +43.

Shops like that are why the buyer has to beware!! Crazy! I'd be sooo pissed... Did you see them mounted up in daylights?

Yea, I agree, the guy fell asleep on the deal. Also, where were his boys at e46? It should be common knowledge on aftermarket offsets for that car, and someone there should have said that's wrong. In the end though, I still feel sorry for the guy, he didn't know much and he got taken advantage of. JACKED!

Word..

Always do your homework..and trust no one!

This is a tough situation.

On one hand, the Shop should have found the correct fittment for his car (which they did..cuz it fits his car).

On the other hand, you can't call up Ashley at the Gap and tell her to order some pants for a 5'10" 160 lb man and expect them to fit correctly right?
