Well I have no interest in rolling fenders or scraping or rubbing at all, id just like to choose a wheel that I like very much aesthetically and not JUST for its perfect fitment.

While the csl is not my first choice when it comes to looks, I will probably still get them if alufelgen made them in 19 for us. For 18 inch wheels though, I might as well stay with stock wheels as they are not bad looking, unless one is looking for light wheels for track.

i like the stock wheels as well and they fit perfect...but at some point will have a new set...probably sooner than later knowing me as i am seriously looking ATM...as new rims are one of my favorite mods...but on the "perfect" fit for this car....to me it is important to keep it as close to OEM specs as possible as the car will ride better, handle better with less issues having to deal with putting oversize tires on the front or rear alway's ends up with compromises....going up a notch 225F/255R is the perfect fit next to OEM...and will ride like stock but go 235/245f and 275-295R than you are looking for issues and IMO the tires sticking out past the fenders is ghetto and cheap looking...the kids like em like that but not me...
Not to bash either but i like both V710 VMR and the VMR CSL and the Alufelgen CSL,,the Breyton's with that red stripe look horrible in Gunmetal...what were they thinking?? If VMR were smart they would make the V710 in 8" "18" Gunmetal 48offsetF and 9" 50-53 Offset rear so we could put 225/255 rubber on them and not have them stretched so far...i would even be willing to have them 7.5F and 8.5R and still buy them....they would look "tits" in that size with tires that are not stretched. and i would buy them, but for now i am leaning towards the CSL for fit and looks...more important to me to have the car ride better without issues, than just looks....but i am not rushing into this.....come on VMR step up its not unreasonable to have a couple different sizing that FITS LIKE OEM AND ONE FOR MORE FOLKS WHO LIKE THEM AGGRESSIVE sticking out a tad..if it's a 135i SPECIFIC rim than make it to fit like one..Advan has both sizes...ONe other issue with the AluFelgen...the Gunmetal color on the rims should be a little darker.....but they are still nice.

only one of the choices has a correct size and offset for the 1 series so for me the choice was obvious

I went with the 710's with a custom powder coat. Will post pics mounted on my AW 135 when I receive them.

I agree with you guys. I don't understand why someone would go with something that doesn't fit, scrape, rub, cause safety issues, sacrifice performance and limit the cars driving capabilities. The choice was easy for me, the CSL where the only wheels that fit and they were still a step up from the stock wheels. Also, they were cheap!!!

I agree! I was hoping my Gunmetal CSL wheels would be a lot darker!! Oh well.

Nice gloss black man
I think i like the color of the wheel to the right in the last pic best though, looks like a nice darker charcoal or matte gunmetal

I went the V710s and got them powdercoated gloss black. I couldnt be happier. They look great. I love the look of the wheel and I get a lot of compliments on them and not to mention a lot of looks lol. I was going back and forth between the CS7s too, but I didnt want the CSL rep look, and so many people have them.

Later on in spring, I hope to grab a set of VMR 710's in Gunmetal for my Alpine White 135.

Pair that with the new Michelin Super Sports 225/255. Summers about to be fun!

I also really like the VMR 710 wheels but because of the size of the 18" wheels (8.5"F x 9.5"R) I can't use my OEM tires. I don't like the looks of stretched tires so for the time being I guess I'll just wait. Why don't these manufacturers make OEM size after market wheels?

I went with a set of CS7s in Ti, but these wheels are soooo close it comes down to personal pref and the finish.

I was going to get the VMR's in gold (still think it would be sick), but the GF told me I couldn't so I went with the CS7s bc I liked the Ti. (Yeah, owned.)

I had some VMR's before and they were nice quality, but the CS7's are extreamly nice as well.

If it was me I would dec based on color/finish, but they all look good imho and you will be happy no matter what.

I wanted red leather in my white 135, but got the same dirty look from my fiance. So I got a black interior instead lol.

I was going to go with the V710's but ended up going for the CS7. fitment was the dealbreaker. I don't want to run stretched 245's on the back and that's all you can do with the V710 without a fender roll depending on the tire...

Having a really tough time deciding between the CS7s and the V710s! I like how much more concave the V710s are and that they're only 7 spoke sets as opposed to 8 but I want to run 255 Conti ExtremeContact DW's in the back and I'm worried about rubbing/stretching the tire. Right now I could probably get away with it on my non-sport suspension 128i but I'm thinking about Eibach springs in the future which will drop 1.2 inches.

If you go V710, be prepared to wait...

Looks like they are backordered till June. I am waiting for a set of V710 in matte black 19"

Our V710's in a 9.5 +50 with a 255 is a confirmed rub free fitment at stock height. No modifications are required.

Hopefully it's just because of the powder coating on yours. I want hyper silver.
