I'm looking through the stock sizes of e46 3 series wheels, and found a staggered set that are:

8x18 et:47
8.5 x 18 et:50

From what I can tell these are the same size/width as the stock 135i wheels, but with a 2mm smaller offset.

So should these fit without any issues? Stock rideheight, and no fender roll.

I don't think 255 tires will fit on the rear though, but if I went for something a bit less wide should that work out with no rubbing?

Regarding the rear:

The wheel will extend 2mm outwards from the standard 135i position. Not a big deal, you'll be fine.

Regarding the front:

There is a 2mm offset difference, however, you've stated that the E46 front wheel is 8" wide. The stock 135i wheel is 7.5" wide with a +49 offset. What this means is the new wheel will extend 8mm outward (it's really a 6mm offset difference). Again, not a big deal, I think you'll be fine.

Regarding tires:

From what I've read, you can run a 255 on an 8.5" wheel. I doubt you will rub running the new wheels and this tire width.

Post a pic of these wheels, I'm interested to see what they look like.

Yep, those will work great. My wheels were originally part of a custom order for the e46.

Thanks guys. They're the e46 performance package wheels, style 135. Any idea what the situation would be with TPMS? I don't think these ever had it as standard. Is the new style of TPMS compatible with older rims?

They are pretty heavy though from what I've read, and also rather expensive (new).

I had no idea the e46 wheels would fit at all, I remember hearing a while back that the offsets on the 1 were really obscure.

Please could you tell me what you did about TPMS? I can't tell if the new style sensors would fit the older wheels or not. Assuming you even added tpms since they look like track tires.

those look great on the 135i. its a very factory look, but a good one.

No tpms with that setup. You're correct, regarding track setup.
