OH-IN-KY-OH roadtrip… ideas? meet-up?

My birthday is on Halloween, and for once in my life, I requested time off work to do something fun. Usually, it's a great time to see the leaves changing colors, and I'm hoping the trees hold out for the next two weeks.

The potential time span is Wednesday after noon until Sunday evening. For now, I was only expecting to do a two-day trip as my main point is to drive rather than do lots of sight-seeing.

My sister lives in Bloomington, IN, so that's an easy place to make an overnight stop. If necessary, I have friends in Louisville, KY for a second night.

My initial plan is something like this:

1. Drive from Columbus, OH, to Bloomington, IN. I may just take the highway, but I'm open to suggestions here.

2. Head over to Nashville, IN, and take IN-135 (scenic drive) down toward Mauckport.

3. Either break off IN-135 before Mauckport or flip around and take 64 over to Louisville. I haven't yet visited the Oxmoor Apple Store, so I have to stop there and visit friends. This may also prove to be a good meeting spot for a photo-op with local 1-owners.

4. Zip up to Cincinnati…not sure yet if I'll highway-it or go back-road. Probably depends on time and weather.

5. Make a quick stop in Cincy and then head back to good ol' CMH.

It's about 600 miles, so quite doable as a two-day trip. Any thoughts from those of you more knowledgeable about these areas? If there are points of interest along the way, please let me know. And again, if this route crosses paths with anyone on here and you'll be around, holler and we'll see if we can meet-up for a photo-op.
