I'd totally drive a TT-RS over a 1M (I like Quattro and the styling more) but knowing Audi, the TT-RS will probably be 70k+ in Canada LOL
The 1M should be roughly 56-59k, I can't see it being more expensive than that. |

Then you have lucked out, have owned two passats, dealers suck and will rip you off in a heart beat. Tried every dealer in my area, 4, all suck. Both cars had issues with their design that caused items to wear prematurely and both had electrical problems. VW customer service, ahahahahahaahah that's funny. Call them and literally get an attitude of, what do you want us to do, you bought the car. Will never own another water cooled VW.

As long as we are spanking the proverbial monkey, the car I really want is the upcoming VW BlueSport Roadster... Mmm, Mmm, good!

VW BlueSport Roadster - Motor Trend You Tube
This guy doesn't do a great presentation... calling VW's Blue effort "Efficient Dynamics"... he's so excited he got his brands mixed up. Last edited by plasar; 11-21-2010 at 12:34 AM.. |

I don't know about that, our 1 has only been back one time in the 6 months we have had it. The last VW we had was back in 3 times in 6 months, one time for 30 days. Never did they call us to update us about any of the repairs. Kuni BMW let us check the car in two days early (on a weekend) and gave us a loaner to use. After doing the seat belt campaign they found the tail light issue was ocurring on our car, we had not noticed it, and replaced both assemblies and some modules (?) that apparently were affected. They also tracked down two minor rattles we had mentioned and fixed them. They ended up having the car for three actual repair days, 5 days counting the weekend we dropped it off. Every work day we received updates as to the status. We did not have to call ourselves and they called early in the day so we could plan our day. I was nothing but impressed with the service we received and the condition of our car when we got it back, washed and vacuumed. Never had VW treat us like this. Our private VW mechanic did, but not the dealer.

Honestly this whole argument about BMW over VW/Audi is bullshit...
Every car has its own goddamn problems and maybe some dont. I had my GTI for 2 years and drove it well, only ever had 2 problems, both were fixed immediately with no issue. Ive had my 135 for almost a year, not one single issue yet (knock on wood) and both dealers are and were nice and helpful. Some others may have the same exact car but due to the shityness of fate and chance, their car decides to fuck off on them constantly which coincides with their dealer being a bunch of asshats. That's just the way it works fellas, so calm down with this "who's better than who" shit and keep this thread on topic about which car that's not even out yet we would rather blow our money on! |

It's absurd to think BMW is better than VAG or the other way round, cars are made up of thousands of parts and sometimes they fail, what happens next is all down to the dealer, a piss poor dealer will make or break the experience of owning any car.
You clearly had a good BMW dealer and a bad VW one but don't think this is true of all, on either side. |
