Should be a drivers race assuming both cars are stock, i would think the 1er would pull ahead to 60 first.

If you get a tune and nothing else you will definitly win, other than that it'll be a drivers race, he might have more weight but he has more 60 more hp and 70 torque.
Reminds me when I raced my friends G8 GXP. His car weighed about 4100lbs but he has 415hp n tq. When I was stock we'd be neck n neck till about 100mph then he would pull 2 cars to 155, but now that I'm modded I pull on him all the way through to 4 cars to 155. We roll race from 40 mph. |

To those who street race, rot in hell. Honestly, people, please stop with this reckless endangerment or others. Nothing car related irks me more.

Please, take care of yourself.
A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related. This means that the remaining 77% are caused by assholes who just drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juices, yogurts, and shit like that. Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol. They cause three times as many accidents. This message is sent by someone who cares about your well being. |

... And now back on topic.
I don't think you have a chance. The 55 has 375 ft lb torque and 350hp. It weighs ~3600lbs? So you're gonna need some help to beat em

Interesting question..... The C55 AMG (in N. American spec) 362HP and 376lb-ft torque.
I own both cars. From a standing start, it will depend heavily on how well the 135i driver can launch his manual transmission car, and how well the C55 driver can modulate the throttle to prevent excessive wheelspin at the start. If the 135i driver screws up in any way with his shifting, he will not catch the C55. If both drivers launch perfectly (and the 135i driver shifts perfectly), the C55 will still likely slowly pull away from the 135i as speeds increase, but it will be close. From a rolling start, I think the C55 will also slowly pull away from the 135i. Again, it could be very close. I'm basing all this on the following: Looking at Car&Driver, Road & Track, and Motortrend test data, the C55 consistently has a slightly higher trap speed in the 1/4mile run, even though the elasped times are very similar. Also, the Car & Driver 5-60mph run (which negates the high rpm launch), is definitely in favour of the C55 (4.9 sec vs 5.5 sec). Another personal piece of evidence is analyzing my own quick lap videos at Mosport race track and comparing the time it takes to power down the long back straight in my 2 cars. C55 (starting at 1:00 in the video): 135i (starting at 1:06 in the video): Again, the C55 takes slightly less time to power down the back straight of this high speed race track. The difference is not great, but noticeable. My cars are not totally stock.....the C55 has a Renntech CF airbox, while the 135i has a lightened crank pulley. Both are pretty minor mods.

Where, just because he said he wanted to race him?? Honestly sounds more like assumptions than circumstancial and when people start assuming things 9times out of 10..........they get it wrong IMHO.
I DEFINETLY DO NOT SUPPORT street racing, I do my business on a track. NOW.......BACK ON TRACK!!!! I have ran with C55's on open track days at Hockenheim (me=stock, them=stock) and they will definetly pull on me. Their only problem that I can see is definetly Torque happiness. Normally when they come out of corners, if the grip is not there, they are sliding or spinning the tires. My better chances at catch up or even try to overtake is on the technical sections due to the weight and handling differences. But on an open stretch, it would be VERY hard.

I just can't help but think that every one of these threads is started by a high schooler.

Car and Driver:
The 135i may have to endure some size snobbery, but only until the green light. The last E46 M3 we tested [September 2005] hit 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The 135i does it in 4.7. That $48,995 M3 chewed through the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 108 mph. This 135i does it in 13.3 seconds at 106 mph, also about identical to the M3’s then-competitors, the Audi RS 4 and Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG. Drivers race....IMHO But take it on a track. The street is dangerous (to you - and others) and you'll never know who has the faster car or who's the better driver since the street will get in the way...
