M-suspension, no rolled fenders, non lowered
Before I order a set of v718 , I'm not looking to roll fenders, adjust camber, or lower.... Just strictly looking for the most aggressive, non rubbing setup I could do with a M-sport suspension on a 135.
I was thinkin 18x8.5 +50, 18x9.5 +50 - is this too conservative? Planning on running 225s in the front 255s in the back! Thanks for all your help ! Last edited by new135; 03-16-2015 at 09:38 AM.. |

I'm researching the same question and I will tell you that it depends on which tires you go with. Apparently some 255s are wider than others which makes a big difference on what offset you get. Don't do what I did and buy tires before you know which wheels you want and confirm with the manufacturer that the combo will fit the car without rubbing issues. I got bf Goodrich g-force 255 in the rear and apparently VMR doesn't recommend installing v710s.

Will not fit. The front wheel would be hitting the strut, so much so, that I don't think you could even bolt the wheel all the way onto the hub. With an 8.5" wheel, shoot for ET40-45. A 8.5" front wheel will fit under these cars with the stock alignment, provided you don't go much if any wider than a 225. The rear should be fine with a 255 and stock ride height.

Do not listen to other peeps who says different... Take it from me... I am going thru this saga right now... Just came home from having my 1er's alignment done again. It is total trial and error. Learn from me and save yourself money. After today's alignment, I am finally rub free. Lol... well, at least for now....
This is what I have on a stock M Sport Suspension ... VMR 710's 225/40 18x8.5 ET45 255/35 18x9.5 ET50 on with Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3's You will rub your fender liner on full suspension travel and at times graze your fender. You must set your negative camber to negative 2.3 to negative 2.5 degrees to avoid rubbing the fender liner or fender lip. Factory specs are negative 1.5 degrees thru negative 2.3 degrees. I hope this helps you.
