I think i saw a M3

First off I am new here and I have been reading this site for a few months now. I decided to sign up today cause I think I saw a M3.

I have done my homework over the many months and I drool over that car and the M5 the most. I know the front end of the new one and that is what is looked like. It was in the other lane at the light. It did not look like the old front grill and I am positive it was a coupe. I even saw the M3 vents that are on the front fender. I think that was it unless the guy modded the car. Am I wrong or what?

I hope I am right.

the front left corner of the bumper looked like the pic but is was like silver or white. I am positive it was a coupe and that I saw the M3 vents on the front fender. I am 70% sure the "kidney" part was sitting high and was bigger than the previous years was. The lights wrapped around the edge like the ones in the pic.

yeah i checked but I didn't see it. if that car was any indication on what it will look like, it look good. Does the e46 front bottom look like the one in the picture? Cause I would say e90 but I am not sure.

maybe it was an M5, while waiting for my car to arrive every 5 I saw grabbed my eye as I thought it was an E90

only possible explanation of the side vents, other than the owner being a listener to douche 100 on sirius sat radio

Was it possible to be the M6? That would make more sense.

I dont think the M6 is on sale in the US yet, so I dont think you see those all the time, maybee you see the regular 6 series around all the time, but not the M6. If I had to guess you probably saw the M5 or maybee the M6. But not the M3, since the regular coupe hasnt been released yet, there is no reason for the M3 coupe to be driving through maryland...

If you mean the M6 that is in the pic I put up, then yes I have seen them long time ago. At least early summer. I have seen 3 on RT 1 in Alexandria, and at least 4 in Bethesda.

I think you may be confusing a regular 6 series for an M6 ?

translation.. if the m6 isnt released here, its not really likely for someone to see 3-4 of these cars.. however every so often a sole //M model may be sighted in the US before the car has been officially released here (but after the car has already been released to the press)

Did i explain it well ? bah, sometimes the keyboard limits my explanations too much

It could be that in Maryland, close to D.C, that there are euro spec diplomat M5/M6s already here. Just a guess.

If there was a test unit out there, I wouldn't expect it to show up in Maryland first. You would think someone would have caught one on the Autobahn. Unless there is a major BMW office/hq around Maryland

Well I was right in DC in the Palisades or how ever you spell it. I think it may have been but there was a young guy driving. I was looking at them all day and the next day it the front end I saw was the new car. Man I don't know what I saw. It is not the old one, but not the new one. Maybe I just want one that bad that I day dream when I drive.
