I don't have any experience in tinting but i'm willing to buy the vinyls if someone can help me put them on, then take some photoes of the results

They look good, I just don't like having reduced lighting in front or rear.

True, but the links you provided give the following information:

Headlight Tint Kit Light Transmission Percentages:
Blue Non-Protective Film: 83% Light Transmission
Clear Lite Protective Film: 100% Light Transmission
Smoke (Dark) Non-Protective Film: 67% Light Transmission
Smoke (Light) Non-Protective Film: 87% Light Transmission
Yellow Smoke Non-Protective Film: 86% Light Transmission

Tail Light Tint Kit Light Transmission Percentages:
Red Non-Protective Tint: 87% Light Transmission
Smoke (Dark) Non-Protective Tint: 67% Light Transmission
Smoke (Light) Non-Protective Tint: 87% Light Transmission

Clear Lite Protective Tint: 100% Light Transmission
Gunsmoke Protection Tint: 90% Light Transmission

I seriously was considering doing this exact same thing, RVinyl and everything until I started thinking about reduced visibility. I'd hate myself if I got rear ended because my brake lights weren't bright enough. They look really nice though...

have you considered the BMW Blackline taillights? At least they're OEM so you would assume they are legal.... (I have them on my LMB hatch, and they look a million times better than the stock lights)

Guys please do not do the same mods as most 10 year old Holden, Nissans and the Toyota Celica please....

The last time I thought of tinting the rear lights, I was still at school.

there's a big difference between the $10 can of tint from Kmart, and the genuine BMW item On the E90 in particular, the blackline taillights are completely different. I've never seen an E90 with them on in Australia, but saw several in Singapore, they look heaps better.

edit: some good before and after shots: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=blackline

E90 is good Micky... because they change the all red in the body side of the light to white/red combo. I think that looks better. The red bit becomes cherry red.

The ones that I hate is just dark charcoal like most of the Toyota Celica are out there.
