There is more power for sure, and the Alfa N tune with 7500 redline is really cool too.

The OTS BPC tune is better than a dyno AATune - even if AA dyno tunes for you, you're not getting cat overheat protection eliminated, no 4th stage disa fix, no 7500rpm limiter and they can't do Alpha-N.

Thanks - I have a local AA dealer and was thinking of going that route but after reading some feedback from you guys on the off the shelf tune I'm having second thoughts and this looked quite promising.

Edit: I love the look of the top end of the BPC graph with headers and tune, any thoughts on the top end from a tune and just the 3 stage intake?

Pretty similar, but less power, and redlines at 7000RPM

If you are using premium consistently i wouldn't worry about it - the DME is pretty adaptive and a point or two of octane isnt going to cause you problems.

That's sort of what I figured, but I remember when I first got the AA tune, they had an option for 91 or 93 octane - I went with 93, as that was what I was using anyway. Now living in WA, the highest available to me is 92, and will probably be back in CA in the next couple of years, where IIRC the max is 91.

Anyway, like you said, probably not a big deal w/ the adaptive DME, especially if BPC is selling these to users in many different states without regard to local fuel availability. Thanks.

AAs ignition is pretty conservative, it should be fine.

After almost 7 years of ownership, I finally started having problems with the original battery. Long starts, exacerbated by infrequent drives this winter, got longer and more tenuous. Regular use of a trickle charger improved things slightly, and probably bought me a few more weeks, but eventually the battery died (while hooked up to the tender. no less). Couldn't even jump the car to start, it was totally kaput.

So I ordered a new battery from Pep Boys, who have a 25% off promo on batteries, plus free shipping. I figured I might as well upgrade, and picked up a Bosch S6 AGM battery.

Changing the battery in this car is ridiculously overwrought and complicated. I mean, it's not hard, but it takes like 20 minutes to get everything disconnected and out of the way! I guess some of the stuff might have to do with the "Intelligent Battery System," I don't know. Anyway, once you figure out what you're disconnecting, it's simple enough, and the new battery slides right in. As you can see below, it's quite a bit larger than the stock battery it replaces, but the tie down bracket is adjustable and accommodates 3 or 4 different battery sizes, which is a pretty nice touch. The S6 is a Group 49 battery, and the largest size our cars will support.

I had originally purchased the Carly WiFi dongle ($78!) so that I could register the battery, and was about to buy the app for another $45, and then I noticed you had to pay an additional $10 to enable battery registration! So I said no thanks, and returned the dongle for full purchase price.

Instead, I used NCSExpert to recode the CAS module to recognize that a 90ah AGM battery had replaced the 80ah flooded lead acid stock unit. Then I updated the Vehicle Order to reflect the same. Then I used Toolset32 to register the new battery. $133 saved!

I also (finally) took the opportunity to do some coding to the DSC module, as indicated in this post. Specifically, I disabled the eLSD and some of the other nannies.

Sorry, no idea. Pretty sure it's a little bit heavier, though.

Love your side markers modification, really cleans up the look.

Did you install the chrome bulbs (p/n 63212352229) on a new set of side indicators (p/n 63137253326 & 63137253325) from schmiedmann?

I am also curious as to how you 1. got the old side indicators off
2. fitted the chrome bulbs
3. installed the new side indicators

This summer I plan to update all of my exterior lighting just the way you have done
LED Blacklines are in the garage awaiting install, currently trying to contact Schmiedmann for all of the euro parts.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, those part numbers are correct. The removal is pretty straightforward, although I don't remember exactly how I did it...I think I might have used a trim removal tool to pry underneath a little bit, but IIRC you basically need to kind of twist them off.. Look for a YouTube video, or search the forums - the info is not hard to find and it's very easy to do, takes about 10 or 20 seconds per side. The new bulbs pop in and install is the reverse of removal.

Good luck! Replacing the lamps all around is a nice upgrade. By themselves, the Black Lines or the Euro clear corners or nice, but altogether, w/ the chromed out side markers (especially with new, non-yellowed plastic) it really just pops and works well together.
