Crap you guys are killing me! My car is coming out of production tomorrow but because bmw won't get off their ass and set a release date for the 135i Vert's, I don't know when I will get it. The wait is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing me!

I've digressed from strict break-in protocol, too, and it's been way better than the "low end torque" we're all raving about.

Sadly, life's priorities have thus far prevailed as the little monster will accrue less than 100 miles during the week, the weekends, however, are for safari, rural adventures, finding a new winding road. Southern Oregon is a terrific locale for the driving enthusiast, just keep an peeled for the occasional deer.

16 days - 260 miles, i.e., not that many.
But, I 'work' from home, have another car that needs its time, and I have the perfect driving roads at, and leading to, Monte Sano state park within a half-mile of my home/office. |

i think the true competition should be for gallons of gas used so far.
i.e. Miles Driven / Avg. MPG higher number wins. me: 36.7

1 day old and she's got 200 miles on her. Has anyone else felt the slight "growling" when they are at highway speeds and they lift off the gas pedal ? It's real faint but I can feel it in the steering wheel and the footwell. I'm pretty sure its just the fancy "recharging" system working while the car is coasting. Any thoughts ??

Actually, I can't take credit for it. My wife took the picture while I was driving, she said it was "safer" that way. Of course, this is the same woman that, a minute later, said "hey, look at this"...and when I turned to look, she took a picture of me driving...flash and all...I couldn't see a damn thing for 5 minutes!!

I hit the 1200 mile mark as I was pulling out of "Shrimp Boat Manny's Cajun Cafe" in Livingston, Texas. 78 degrees, sunny, no traffic and a brand new 135 that just passed it's break-in...life was good that day!!
