Hi, new owner here.
I am from a JDM background with previous cars like Evo 9, 200SX, MR2, Integra...my first car was a e36 318i though. I was looking at 981 Cayman S and Boxster S. They look so sexy but after a brief ride in one I lost interest as the rush in acceleration was not there. For that kind of money I want something can make me sweat and respect the car. I was also looking at E92 M3s but find them a tad slow in acceleration at low speed and doesn't look as distinctive as the 1M so lord and behold, I manage to find a lo mileage VO at Audi Sydney. It was love at first sight and I put in a deposit straight away and loving her since. |

Add Me in :P
VO in Brisbane... Picked it up on Thursday... Haven't stopped laughing yet... My "friends" have already nicknamed her "Julia" cause she's a ranga with a big butt... PS: I think mine must have been one of the last ones built? 31-05-2012 |

Thanks 1MOz and Zuzu...I followed some of your posts and you guys have
My car is a 2012 built model with 2Y warranty left...thinking of modding it but concern about the warranty thing... Out of interest do you guys find a noticeable different in straight line acceleration with just a ECU flash (ie Cobb/Evolve R..) and no FMIC or you need a FMIC to make a noticeable difference? I had a look at offered by AC Schnitzer and Hartge and their ECU mod (rated at around 400hp) is several thousands (no FMIC required) which is very expensive for a piggy back solution. But they do offer Engine/Drivetrain warranty though. |
