Interesting....
Compared to the red E92 next to it, the side vents are further back while the middle vent is more forward. That said, I like the placement of the side vents, but why can't the middle vent be pushed further away from the roundel? |

Not sure if these are better angles
It's looking good, the fit looks better than the Seibon hood (just judging by the photos posted here). |

Hood looks great, the slats are perfect size for the 1...not too flashy it actually looks clean.
Too bad there is no lip, I don't understand why not, there is a huge freaking market for one. The fact that companies are neglecting the 1 series aftermarket is really getting on my nerves. |

The vents aren't actually functional if I remember correctly.

I don't understand how we can have all these different cosmetic pieces, up to and including a hood, but there is no lip to speak of. |

I like the E92 Hood better. I feel the center and side vent are too far apart. If the side vents were moved forward a few inches and the center vent back a few inches, we'd have a winner!

It would be nice to have adjustable vents...if you want to have them open on nice days and closed on rainy ones...
This hood is ten times better than the seibon one, there is way to much going on with that hood... How much is this hood gonna cost??

To respond to all of you guys:
-This was a prototype hood. The vents will be open on the final version -The vents are placed differently on this hood because the engine is placed differently. The hood is fully functional, dissipating heat from where it builds up the most. With that said, we can try to move the center vent back a little bit for you guys before it goes into production. -ALSO REALIZE it's a much shorter, smaller car. It's kind of an illusion - you see, the vent may only be 4" away from the roundel, but the percentage proportional to the size of the hood is roughly the same -Regarding the eyelids, it just cannot be done unfortunately, it is FAR too tight over the headlight, so unless we built the hood forward (to jut out in front of the bumper) or pushed the headlights back (good luck), there's just no way. We're going to try and do an eyelid but even then it's really tight -The pricing will be the same as the E92 hood. We will consider taking $50 deposits to hold your spot once we get a solid ETC for the mold. JleviSW has the exclusive on this hood, so sit tight, we'll get back to you. You guys are KILLING me with this lip. Like I explained to a lot of you at the show, we wanted to come out with the hood because it was something we could do quicker (since it's based off an OEM hood). We ARE working on the lip. It is the next part Vorsteiner will do. As soon as we have this hood in production we will be working on the lip. I promise. The lip will come out as soon as possible. I PROMISE. |
