Carbon fiber mirrors

Im looking for carbon fiber mirrors for the E82 on ebay but Im getting confused about something, are the side mirrors different from the 08-09 to the 11-12. I have a '12 and i dont want to buy the wrong pair.

Please help me here guys so i can buy the right one the first time.

I think they are bigger on the 2011/2012 models.

Correct. 11-12 have the "dumbo" big ones

If the mirrors are carbon fiber how are they going to reflect so you can see what's going on behind you? Hi-gloss CF?

The CF is on the back. The painted portion of your car. It is just a piece of CF that you attach to the mirror housing. Unless you get the Real BMW Perf ones. If you get the real ones, you have to disconnect the original mirror cap and replace it with the CF one. The glass/mirror part of it is untouched.
