Weird climate control issue

I've been having an issue with my climate control lately.

Sometimes when I get in the car, the settings will be retained from my last trip.

Other times, they seem to jump to the temp/fan/vent settings from a trip or two ago.

Any ideas? I'm using the same fob every time.

Interested in this as well, my e90 used to change to automatic whenever it felt like it.
