New Wheel Setup
Hi,
Just wanted to share my experience with these brand new GTC AFF-1 which were only very recently released as the first flow formed wheel from GTC. I ordered these wheels through Jason@EuroDivision down in Melbourne who offers great customer service and prices, as well as incredibly fast shipping which made for a very pleasant and smooth transaction (once again) As they are a very new wheel, they were not available in 1 series / E82 sizes and offsets, these particular wheels are 19x8.5 ET35 Front & 19x9.5 ET45 Rear - which makes for a very aggressive fitment on the E82 platform being a 3 series sized wheel setup. Initial thoughts: The first time I picked up the box I was extremely surprised at how light these wheels were. I believe they are weighted at 9KG a wheel, which is lighter than my previous 18 inch GTC-S (CSL style) wheels and these are 19 inch with a wider diameter. This makes them a whole lot lighter than the hefty OEM BMW wheels which is a big plus. The finish I opted for is "Space Graphite" (also available in gloss silver) - a light to medium grey in satin. The quality of the finish is awesome and really pops with the BSM! Fitment: Initially I did not want to opt for 19's as I thought they might look a little too large, I was pleasantly surprised at how good 19's actually suit the E82. The sizes are also a little aggressive for E82 which made me think it would rub insanely in both the front and rear, but much to my surprise, there is absolutely no rubbing at all - keep in mind I am fairly low (bilstein B14) with about half a finger gap in both front and rear, also rear guards rolled. I am running these with a 225/35/19 Front and 255/30/19 Rear Nitto Invo tyres which are a fair bit thinner than Michelins. With Michelins and rolled/pulled guards, you're bound to rub A LOT. Tyres are ever so slightly stretched, but gives the car a much more aggressive stance while not affecting function (too much). With this setup they sit VERY flush to the guards. Thanks to Euro Division I now have my car sitting on an awesome set of wheels which are unique (only 1 series to have them fitted I believe) and look plain awesome, received nothing but positive comments about them so far. Also thanks to Stuart@BMR again for fitting them and sorting out my suspension! Highly recommend both Euro Division and BMR for all your OEM and AM parts *These are also available in 18x8 ET42 for those wanting a less aggressive fitment* Here are some pictures: Last edited by Chandon; 10-28-2015 at 04:11 AM.. |

Great, I've asked Jason. If he approves I will start a new thread.
In the mean time, if others could express their interest in here or PM me, the more the better our chances are! |

Sorry didn't see this post! Hills Eurohaus in Castle Hill did the guard rolling/pulling for me, definitely a nice job. If you look close enough you can see the rear guard is slightly pumped out - it helped a lot with fitting more aggressive offset/size wheels & tyres
