N52 power rating

Does anyone know what the max hp an N52 is rated to hold without forging pistons and whatnot?

Not anywhere near enough data to make statements.

Wrong engine either way if power is the goal.

I agree. The point of the 128i is that it's the perfect balance between HP and handling. A tune, intake, and exhaust will collectively add 20hp or so and we do that because tinkering is fun. If speed and power are your game then the 128i is a bad place to start.

If you want one of the last BMWs made in the spirit of days gone by, the 128i is the machine for the job. A true no-nonsense driver's car

with mods you can add good power to your car.
Not enough data but i would say around 50-60 max .
That being said for the price you are going to pay for all these mods you can just sell your car and get a 135.
Your car has perfect balance between power, luxury and handling.
If your goal is power only, you have picked the wrong car .
I would focus more on exterior mods and add an exhaust for a nice aggressive tone.

I found a really good deal on a turbo set up, but I really did not want to get into tearing apart the motor if the motor wasn't set up to handle all the power from the turbo. If it could handle an extra 70 hp I would be fine though.

Get a 135i if you want a turbo 1er. Going to be vastly better than any kit you add to this car.

They haven't released enough info for this to be considered factual yet. I hope to hear good news but nothing is confirmed yet.

When considering max hp it's always theoretical unless you have a factual formula

First ESS supercharger kit was dropped into a car recently. Looking forward to what this kit can do.

I live at 7500' ASL so a low pressure supercharger could be interesting if it is reliable and not too obnoxious.
