I think you don't feel like its faster, but I'm pretty sure it is.... Moving from that turbo 4 in your TT to the smooth i-6 in the bimmer is quite a change. (i know from experience).
I think it boils down to the fact that there is a bit less fanfare when revving the 135 than with the TT225... Just my opinion though. Enjoy the new ride... I've had mine for a couple months now and still get a shit eating grin every time I hit the start button. |

you are not going to hurt it if you rev past the recommended break-in RPM, just make sure the car is completely warmed up, a few hard rips to seat the rings actually may result in a slightly more powerful engine but also may shorten the engine's life in the long-term. ideally, keep the RPM's under 5000 for the first 1200 miles, avoid extended cruising at a constant RPM, think varying RPM through the recommended rev-range during the break-in period and consider an oil change at 1200mi.

yes im doing my best to follow the break in period maybe reved near 5k but then shifted i dont think i have went above it yet...(hope not, cant remember wasnt looking) yes the car is great no doubt there and have no buyers remorse...i love it even more than i thought i would...the interior i love so much and the engine and the looks man pretty much eveything about it i love...all my friends love it too...its so amazing...but to FEYD my tt WASNT STOCK i had a lot of money in that car and it was pretty fast..it would beat a stock 135i hands down....now a stock TT no matter what model even the new tt-s they are releasing could beat the 135i stock for stock...i love this car...it handles great although it scares me how easy the tires break loose and they have full tread on them...i know they gotta have about 500 miles on them to get thier full traction but damn
