Acceleration video of 1M vs. Cayman R
I didn't see this posted in the Forum and found it quite interesting to watch myself. Watch carefully and you will see that the 1M is clearly ahead (more than I thought it would) till around 180 km/h where it reaches the limit of the third gear-181 km/h. Then the Cayman R catches up around 200-210 and gets ahead and remains so till the end; after around 240 (which is the shift point from 4 to 5) the Cayman is ahead but the slight gap does not seem to widen much. Don't know if that 1M was limited or not (I bet it was) so the acceleration ends at 270 where at least the Cayman R could go more. The fury of the 1M upto 180 in this video and in real life is a joy to wittness. On the other hand the aero negative effect compared to a Cayman after 200 is a fact.

I'm really lucky to have both in the garage, and yeh the 1M will out drag the CR, especially with an ESS and Akra. But then there's nothing like the feeling of driving the CR, it's closeting, deft touch and tactility.
