Hello from Switzerland: BMW 135i Sauber F1 Team Edition "ti550" by collaction
As featured on 1addicts Homepage.
Hi everyone I was reading all your posts for a long time, and today I finally got my own 135i to join the club. I live in Switzerland near the lake of Zurich, so if anyone of you ever come to Switzerland and wants to spend some time in the Swiss alps, give me a call. ;-) My car is a 135i Sauber F1 Team Edition. This special edition was limited to 135 cars and this is no. 110 out of 135. The special edition features the Performance carbon trunk spoiler, the black Performance kidneys, Style 261 M-wheels in specific colout "Celeton", Performance carbon mirror caps, Performance steering wheel, Performance carbon interior parts, Sauber F1 stickers and a limited edition-badging in the roof, wrapped in alcantara. My car additionally got an ECU-upgrade from Swiss tuner collaction (www.collaction.ch), which is also responsible for all the cars of the Swiss MINI CHALLENGE: 370hp and 550Nm of torque, Vmax somewhat aroung 290 kph. Furthermore, it's got a KW V3 suspension, individually set up by collaction, as well. Next mod will be the Performance short shifter kit as well as the shift knob to match the steering wheel. ;-) So far, I absolutely love the car. I love the way it looks, I love the way the suspension set-up made a racer out of it and I like the engine upgrade. As soon as the car passes the 600km mark, I will be able to give you some performance numbers, measured via the PerformanceBox tool. I hope being able to get some better pics as soon as the weather gets nicer here in central Europe. I'll keep you updated, if you're interested. ;-) Last edited by Bullit; 10-19-2009 at 12:39 AM.. |

Well, of course the ECU-upgrade voids the warranty for the engine. But since the tuner includes his own warranty to the upgrade (1 year, additional months optional) and especially since the tuner works together with BMW Switzerland for the MINI CHALLENGE, they can't afford mistakes and won't mess around if anything happens. So for me, everything is fine ;-)
Of course, just hit me up if the winter is over. All the big mountain passes closed this weekend because of the snow, so you will have to wait until spring. But since I am currently in Munich for an internship at MINI, we can maybe meet there. ;-) |

I am pretty sure you can order them via a dealer here in Switzerland to put them on any other 135i. So if you are interested, I could at least ask my dealer about this topic. I will. I am 25, no accidents so far, had 12 driver safety trainings - mainly because they are pretty much the only way to have fun in Switzerland since there are no race tracks here and insurencies are very restrictive concerning race track events in Germany or any other country for that matter. BTW and to complete the picture: The silver car you see on the very left is my Dad's 335xi Touring Automatic M-Tec, fully equipped with even the Individual Sound System and tuned by Swiss tuner Dähler: ECU-upgrade and high flow cats, 390hp, about 560Nm, 19" Hartge wheels in individual "Dähler finish" (some sort of shiny titan) and with Pirelli P Zeros 235/35 up front and 265/35 at the rear, Eibach Pro Street S coilovers and Hartge quad exhaust (axelback, made by Supersprint). All work done by Dähler (www.daehler.com), still got the warranty. It is an unbelievable car, the combination of the suspension, the tires and the xDrive makes it extremely grippy. We tested the car with the PerformanceBox and it performed an incredible 1.3g in the corners and 4.8s from zero to 100 kph.

Don't get me wrong and being somewhat intrusive but I would love to have those stripes!! I opened a thread on OEM stripes for the 1 series. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309111 If it's OK, I can PM you to see if something can be done. BTW, that 335 touring is amazing! Nice wheels and the exhaust makes it look powerful! How well does the active cruise controls works for you? Thanks again!

Nice mechanical setup!
Cool steering wheel, lip spoiler, and the interior bits are really nice. I'm not a fan of the stickers. I just don't like pinstriping, and those seem out of place on this car, especially how they go onto the hood. |

Hi Bullit
I have just bought your successor, No 111 from Titan AG in Zurich. I took car for spin on saturday around the E60 and its awesome, i drive a E46 M3 and have to say the Coupe felt just as awesome... Im selling M3 back in UK as its to much hassle to keep here.. I will pick up F1 Coupe once all paper work is sorted, Titan doing everything for me, i also got a HUGE discount on list price... I will miss my M3 but soo looking forward to getting the F1, sadly insurance is a ripoff here, they wont recognise i have 17 years of no claims in UK. My M3 Fully Covered and Bonus protected in UK was £350 or under 600 CHF, quotes here are from 1900 CHF upwards... aghhh - who do you use ?? Happy driving Rob :-) |

Of course. All I can do is ask, but it could happen that BMW Switzerland says the stripes are exclusively for the F1 Team Edition and won't sell them. But I will ask if there is any interest.

On the other hand, in a few years this possibly could be the other way round with the F1 Team Edition holding its price very well because of the very limited production run. Quote:
But if you are finally here and have some time, we could take on a nice tour on the Klausenpass, Sustenpass, Grimsel and Furka - the most beautiful mountain pass route in whole Europe (about 350km of just mountain passes and nothing else, 4 in a row). Of course if the weather gets nicer again, because 370hp and 550Nm of torque are a bit lively in the snow. ;-) |

Absolutely badass! I love the limited nature. Reminds me of the old lightweight e36 M3. I wish it were available here in the states, I'd order that in a heartbeat.
