Unhappy Bad week gets worse

On Monday night the power goes out at my place, turning off my alarm, which therefore makes me 2 hours late for work, so I had to stay at work unitll 7pm to make up for the lost time.

Then Tuesday night the same thing happened, 2 hours late for work had to stay till 7pm to make up the time. This is not goin well considering i have my annual review this friday, and this is my first year with this firm.

But what capped it all of was, when I walk out to my car I saw a huge scrape on my bumper, starting at my license plate and going all the way to the driver side fog light. My car is alpine white so i saw this scrape as soon as I stepped outside. It seems like someone driving a suv or pick-up truck rubbed one of thier big-ass tires accross my bumper. The bumper definately needs painting, but luckly (if thats possible) there seems to be no cracks or dents. There was no note just a scraped bumper for me to find.

Well thats been my 2006 so far, lets hope the next 51 weeks go better than this one.

I am sorry for another "o my bmw was hit story" but i just had to share, by the way my car is less than a month old, which is a bigger kick in the balls.

Really sorry to hear that. Definitely scope out the cars in the parking lot (I assume this happened at work) to see if you can track down the A-hole.

As for the alarm, that's why I always use either my cell phone or a battery-powered travel alarm.

Keep us updated on the repair/cost...

I also use the alarm on my cellphone, and set a second alarm (like my radio) as a "backup" for important days.

Buy a clock that has a battery back-up to it. I have an alarm clock that claims it can run for 24 hrs on a single d-cell. The power has gone out on me a few times since Ive gotten it, and Ive never missed an alarm

sorry to hear your story.
It's always good to have a back up alarm from your cell phone.

Thanks for the replies, I've got the cell phone alarm ready to go for tomorrow, now I just have to find the A-hole driving around with my paint all over his/her car.

Very sorry to hear. What is up with all these assholes that can't even drive in parking lots! Any chance the black marks would buff off, or are there scratches?

Sorry, but after the first incident, you should have purchased a better alarm. Or use your cellphone as an alarm. I set 3 alarms - 1 on cellphone and 2 alarm clocks.

On the bright side, white is easier to colour match then metallic colours, so with a lil repainting, your car will be fine.

Even though the person surely doesn't know you, sometimes you can't help but just take stuff like this personally. It just sucks that much. We feel for you, but hopefully you'll get it fixed and be able to move on and have a good rest of the year.

Sounds like having redundant alarms is the way to go.

Sorry to hear about your bumper. Here's hoping you find the a-hole. In fact, if you're at all in the GTA, I'd help ya deal out some vigilante justice.

BTW, hope your review goes well!
