Anyone at Bally's on McKnight this evening? I saw a nice black 135 in the parking lot. I wish I was driving my one, so I could get a nice pic of the two side by side. Unfortunately, my one is out of commision thru at least the middle of this week.....missing it a lot!!

Ok, im in the harrisburg area, Im taking delivery of my Deep Sea Blue baby the end of feb. Im wondering if anyone has any idea about any respectable and RELIABLE tune shop in my area or even within an hours drive where I could take my bimmer if I ever have any mod work I wanna get done. There is a place called Creative car tunes near me that I had do alot of the mods on my GTI but they are not cheap and tend to take a while to do anything so...
Im really looking for a euro tuner in particular, a shop that mainly works on bimmers n porches, that kinda thing. Websites would be sweet too |

GRKBimmer135i,
I live in Mount Joy, which is 20 minutes from York. I also have Alpine white, but with black leather. Has the M-sport package with Dual Clutch Transmission (2011). I used to go down to CBRD speedfactory in York quite a bit when I had my EVO. Hope to see you around. Gumpy. |

Yes, there are some killer back roads in Mount Joy!!
I work in Mechanicsburg and take the Autobahn (oh, I mean the Turnpike) and that is fun too. Chad at CBRD speedfactory put coilovers on my 335xi and they did a great job. If you need any installs done, just tell them Chad and Rob sent you. He will take care of you. The last time I talked to him, they were not ECU tuning anything but EVO's and STi's, but that may change. His mechanic, bought a BMW not to long ago. Gumpy. |

Ive only been to one shop so far for my bimmer, its called Bimmerworks and is in West Chester, its like almost an hour n a half away for me but I went there cuz theyre a bmw specific shop and had good rep, they installed my exhaust and brake pads, did a good job but they are expensive, think it cost me like almost $550 for the whole job. I dunno, I like them but id rather go to someone closer who can do my mod installs with good rep. Im getting wheels n tires and a chargepipe BOV setup, can he take care of that?? |

Well I found their page, looks like a great place, however they charge even MORE than bimmerworks per hour of labor
I dunno, they seem to focus alot on mitsubishies n subbies, I want someone who can do mod installs without taking a shitload of time doing so cuz theyre not accustomed to the car, I used to do my mod installs thru Creative car tunes but they always needed install sheets and directions for everything, took longer, charged more I dunno, I suppose I could give them a call, but I already have my new set of 710's from PYSpeed to ship to bimmerworks once their done powdercoating them...hmm Crappy thing about Bimmerworks is obviously the distance but also, their shop is kinda in the middle of nowheresville, like when I used to have my GTI, id take it to an apr dealer in lebanon and I could walk like a couple blocks down the road to a couple diff restaurants to eat n pass the time, but with bimmerworks i had to walk like 20 minutes n the best thing within reach was a shit mcdonalds, I dunno, my priorities are particular I guess when it comes to mod installers. |

Did you actually talk to anyone at CBRD speedfactory?
They are very hard to get ahold of on the phone, as they are always in the shop. Better yet, just stop in and ask them your questions directly. They are very cool guys and easily approachable. True they do mostly work on Mitsu's and Subie's, but Mark (the mechanic) can work on anything and they do great work. They may be more expensive, but it will be done right. It depends on how busy they are as to how quick they can get you in. If you e-mail Chad Block he will get back to you. Tell him Chad and Rob sent you and see if he will cut you a deal. I have known Chad before he formally opened his doors, so he has been good to me. Gumpy. |
