Minor details
Hi,
First of all, been following the car and forum for a while now. Thanks for all the great info. and photos. I have a bunch of questions that I do not believe have been addressed yet. Now that the configurator is up, I have more. If anyone has answers, it would be greatly appreciated. I know the Beemer dealer that I placed my deposit with has no idea: 1) When I run the config. on the 135, sport seats are already on the car before I select the sport package. Is this a website glitch or is that accurate? 2) Does anyone know if you can get the M steering wheel and shift knob on the 128i? 3) I've never had an aftermarket nav system before, but would like to save some money there. Anyone see a decent spot to mount one that won't look or function too badly? 4) Is the shifter action/throw the exact same as the 3-series, or have they done anything to shorten it up or otherwise change it? I know this is sort of all over the place. Thanks in advance. |

I'll take a stab at your questions:
1. I'm betting that's a glitch. 2. Would it let you configur it that way? 3. I'm going to mount my Tom Tom 910 on the windshield when I need a nav. 4. You'll need to ask someone who has driven both. Maybe one of the european members.

I doubt you can get the M steering and shift knob as part of the sport package, since the 128i doesn't come with the M package. But am sure you can do an aftermarket installation of those items.
