Since I can't decide - I am asking you to help decide for me! Weigh in now and choose:

330 with sport, prem, fold-down seats, comfort, AT, sat prep, in:

Barrique w/beige and poplar wood?
Mystic Blue with beige and poplar?
Mystic Blue with grey and walnut?
So don't keep us all in suspense......

What did you finally order?

I think my dealer was trying to get me to jump so he told me I had to decide in 24 hours. Now I am told I have til Tuesday - do or die. (I believe him - it's for an early Dec production and the slot is about to go "150").

So what I am doing now is trying to find a Mystic Blue on a 3 series to go see, but there's NONE anywhere in the Atlanta area. I'm afraid to drop 44K (after tax) without seeing one first.

Funny how there's Barrique Reds on every lot but NO Mystic Blues. And none at port in 330 Sport either just waiting to be adopted.

Is Mystic just not a desired color? I am still kinda thinking Barrique might be ok. I am driving myself crazy.

Think about it. If you can't find one on a lot that probably means they were all sold. Barrique is everywhere because nobody wants it.

It's your car. If you want Barrique go for it.

I wouldn't say it's horrible. It's an interesting color. I was told unusual colors can be more difficult to resell later, but that argument works both ways.

Maybe, but here in SD the Mystic e90s are just beginning to show up on lots. They may very well "fly off the lots" when they get here - who knows.

As I mentioned in another thread, the dealer closest to me has sold every Barrique car he has gotten in pretty short order - six as of last week. They didn't get their first Mystic or Green until last week.

Maybe the answer is a good sized segment of the buyers are tired of Black/Silver/Gray cars and the first thing that looks slightly out of the ordinary is appealing. The guy that took my order said as much in our conversation the other day.

Also said it is tough to find a car with Aluminum trim anywhere in SD due to the Sept. supply problems. He feels the aluminum will sell well once people can actually see it on the car.

I'm sure you know this, but Mystic is not a new color. If you can't find a Mystic e90 you can probably find a 2005 3 series,an X5, or a 645i in Mystic so you can see the color

You are right! Barrique is the only metalic red available in the very limited E90 palette and customers want something different and more colorful now.

My dealer said they have not taken delivery on any barrique E90s because he is afraid they won't sell. But an '05 M3 in MB was being picked up while I was there - - -it looked dynamite!!!!

There's a Barrique Red E90 sitting on the lot at BMW of San Diego right now. I passed by today on the 163 South and saw it at the first "E90 position" near the entrance.

If I didn't know better I would mistake the topic of this discussion to be lipstick or hair color. <g> Never would I guess that color could make so much difference on a BMW.

It's funny how which car and which options is the easiest decision to make. The color is hard because there's so many to choose and most of the metalics take on so many variants of their base color in different light - take Arctic for example. It goes from grey to green to blue. Barrique is another. It goes from brown to purplish red. Spar Graphite has purple and brown in it.

With so many blacks, whites and silvers on the road, a unique color e90 is tempting but they all have hidden personalities that make then either a great decision or a bad one in the long run. One must be careful unless you can lease and trade every two years.

Afterall, you are what you drive.

Beige interior is such a lame color, i had it in 2 of my former Benz, doesnt ages well, hard to clean, shows dirt.

If you want to be conservative, stick to the colors the members forum, but you like to be BOLD and be on the front line.

This is the color Ive not seen too much around.

EXT: SG
INT: Tera Dakota Leather (black panel/carpet)
TRIM: Aluminum

try to visualized that

Did you read the post this morning about the Individual Program in Europe? You want to talk about interior/exterior options, just check out that thread.

Colour decision

I would go with Arctic myself with the beige interior.
But if your stuck on Blue, then Mystic it is, but with the beige interior.
It looks much cleaner.

I sent you a PM. As of 11/19 Global Imports had one. It is sold, so you better get down there quick. See my pics of it in the M/B picture thread.

I don't know about that.... T/S and S/G are the biggest sellers on the E90.

After seeing M/B in person on a 330i SP, I am not in love with it as much as I was prior to seeing it in person. I watched the color change for 20-25 minutes as the sun came in and out of the clouds. It looks incredible when the sun is out, but when it's not it looks very flat (non-metallic), almost dull. If I am going to pay for metallic paint, I want to be able to see it the majority of the time

I think of all the metalics offered by BMW this year, silver and mystic are the most predictable. I mean to say, no funky revelations of other colors when the light hits it certain ways.

So the question now is "in five years, will I be able to sell a mystic blue 330?"
