Who has replaced tyres on the stock rims?
I've put the stock rims back on with my old Dunlops (semi-slicks on the black rims are too noisy for the street) and after a skid pan last friday they are pretty much shot.
I have two options: 1. Put the oem run flat tyres back on (have these in the garage). 2. Get some other tyres with better comfort / grip. I was thinking of going for 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. Ideally would like a directional design so I can swap from side to side. I was thinking Bridgestone Adrenalin but they aren't directional. I'm even tempted to go for the Maxxis Victra i-PRO after the recent Motor tyre test. Can anyone who has changed tyres please comment using template below? - Brand / Variant of tyre - Front tyre size - Reat tyre size - Cost fitted - Impressions regarding noise, comfort, grip etc Thanks! |

Where to get Z1? Can you get the star spec that so popular in Japan???
I am a fan of Bridgestone road tyres, although I race with Dunlop semi slicks. I like to change to Bstone RE11 when I have my 135. http://www.potenza.jp/lineup/re11/size/18inch.html 225/40 and 255/35 is available

I would probably get these again but the dollar makes it too expensive now. Quote:

Also, the Potenza RE50 are directional symmetrical, whereas the Potenza RE50A are directional assymetrical (hence the A).

Anyway, you get my drift, I want to be able to swap the tyres from side to side to even out wear on the tyre due to camber etc. |

If you worry about ADR and insurance shit then they are not the tyre for you. RE01R is not even in Australian market line-up anyway. I don't think Dunlop D Z1 is either.

I run the Adrenalins on my Liberty GT and must say I am impressed in their all round performance. A lot cheaper than the RE050a, seem to perform better, but at the expense of a little extra tyre noise.
