Install day. Maddad midpipes, HPF FMIC, KW V2's
Tomorrow is my official install day for:
HPF FMIC Maddad midpipes KW V2's Drop-in filter Today my midpipes arrived, professionally packaged and and PERFECT condition. HPF and I will be taking pics tomorrow of the install and if we have time will do a post install dyno to compare my stock dyno from last month and i will be able to post all that information too. I just ordered up some CP-e Catted DP's so this will not be included on tomorrows install. Will update as soon as i can. Also, working on a custom diffuser with a local fabricator over the next few weeks using our stock piece. should come out really nice and aggressive.

Nice Tim, tomorrow should be a fun day. Our cars are turning out to be quite similar... I will be installing my HPF IC and Maddad mids (and maybe the P3 gauge if it comes in time) on saturday.

I am jealous. I cannot spend money on mods right now and two of those (HPF FMIC & Maddad mid-pipes) are on my list of future purchases.

I'm jealous that you're getting all these mods done at the same time. Please post some sound clips of the exhaust setup that you will be running. I'm toying with the idea of maddad midpipes with my AA axel back exhaust.

Congrats, you will love your full Maddad Setup. Had it installed on Sat, have huge amounts of photos, video, dyno data (24+ pulls on various setups with stock exhaust and not, different maps, etc.) but have to sort it all out and will post. You will notice some fat gains, especially down low (<3500rmp). Gonna sort all the results out with Rich and will post a thread in the next few days. G/L!

Install complete...
First off, I would like to begin by saying that ALL the folks at HPF are extremely kind and professional. They where all there to greet me and show off my car this evening...even an hour after the shop had closed. They had my coilovers installed in under 4 hours! They took a ton of pictures, i picked a few to share which will give you the overall idea. If you would like more let me know. Diego, and Lutz perf where also a big help and getting today set up with HPF and I would highly suggest these guys to pick up your HPF parts...A+ customer service! First impression was jaw dropping...of course all i could savor was how nice the car looks lowered a bit. It was definitely sexy! The handling difference was outstanding...hard to believe i drove it with the stock suspension for so long. I selected 1+ from most damp setting. I am gonna drive my car around over the next week and let the springs settle and adjust as needed prior to getting my alignment Maddad midpipes!!! Holy shit...the beast growls and gurgles and still doesnt sound like somebody put a folger can exhaust on. Really opens up beautiful tones under WOT and love the start up. There was a noticeable increase in cabin tone...but NO DRONE. I am extremely sensitive to cabin noise cause i love my audio system too! KN drop in air filter...nothing too exciting, but a necessary modification. the box is about all i noticed! ahahaha HPF Black anodized FMIC...what a piece of art. As you can tell, this frick'n thing is huge compared to our stock IC. The mount was perfect, fit is perfect and I love the black anodized stealth look! (prob not for everyone, but i love it) Unfortunately the rain today prevented me from pushing too much, the FMIC will really pull at higher gears (as seen in my previous dyno). The engine def spools quicker and feels very more powerful on the low end...could also be my excitement. Will be doing a dyno run next week with these mods. Now for the pictures! Midpipe comparison pre-install Under carriage with midpipe installed FMIC side-by-side comparison FMIC install FMIC mounted front view KW Coilovers KW front and rear mounted Finally, some finished up shots ..and the Portland rain..gotta love it thanks folks!

I am jealous that I cannot install my FMIC yet! On a side note from the looks of the suspension drop you may have to raise it slightly once it settles and definitely if you get aftermarket wheels.....at least from what I have read/seen/experienced

Yep...that is what we talked about. I am going to let them settle, raise it a bit then get my alignment done. I feel a little more vibration in the wheel..this could be due to only having 25miles on the new suspension, the dampening setting or possibly alignment...not sure yet.

Probably is just the alignment the alignment. I had the same exact thing with my V1's until I had my favorite shop do my alignment. The dampening shouldn't give any vibration in the steering wheel...might jar you teeth loose though! |
