Some M3 guys really are not taking this 1M thing well. I wish we could all just get along...

No.

What Scott26 said was it hurt the aerodynamics at high speeds.

I did not take that to mean ultimate terminal high speed (V-Max) but rather how stabil the 1M is at high speeds. Two very different things.

Those vents and curtain drag system serve as a purpose, drag and downforce or at least that is what we are made to think Do I entirely believe that? no, but the thought still makes me happy......
The window sticker simply states "Air Curtain Drag-Reduction System". The way they work is, they channel air around the wheels creating an "air-curtain" and thus reducing drag. They DO work, whether you want to believe it or not. The rear vents can not function as vented air currents for the simple fact that they are down stream to the air current. So, short answer, NO the rear vents are NOT part of the "Air Curtain Drag-Reduction System".

Nobody is attacking you personally. You are just getting some of your facts wrong and people are just correcting you.

That, and the fact that the vents are blocked off. They are apparently only there to add symmetry with the front bumper. And to collect dirt.

According to Scott26 some time ago, the rear vents are there to break up the rear bumper (ala X6M) from a design perspective because of the larger fenders.

[QUOTE=bmw13;10145014][QUOTE=Dackelone;10132549]I don't think BMW is gonna offer another hood. Scott26 said last week (in the new ActivE thread) that the reason why M did not go with a power dome hood was because it impacted the high speed aerodynamics.

Still... any good body shop should be able to custom make you one.

Everyone has been talking about the stitching on the performance seats and wheel to be orange to match the interior. I thought that would look great as well but it actually doesn't look that good in real life. Looks a little overdone for some reason.

Danke!

Just "cut and paste" your links into your post. www dot...

For fotos... just use image shack, photobucket, ect or any other image hosting site and "cut & paste" the link into your post. OR... go into advance mod(when you post) and click on the "paper clip" icon to attach low res fotos into your posting. That is how I attached your fotos above.
