The PCV is in your cam cover now which means when they fail you have to replace the cam cover....instead of the valve like BMW have used on previous models. You have a hose running from there to your rear feed pipe for the turbo's. The OCC intercepts that hose and completes the circuit. I have some images on the various pages on my website.

Jeezus that CF intake cover looks bloody awesome! Thanks for all that info Andrew. BTW, I thought only turbos could be tuned with a significant increase in power? What sort of power gains are we talking about on the S65?

Bugger all on its own, i've seen 3 local cars and all are pfft, my 135i makes more power and way way more torque than all of them.

Actually, thinking about it, it would be nice to have retained the ///M3 V8 logo.

That should mean recall.

Still no official recall for any BMW cars since 2006:

http://www.recalls.gov.au/content/in...mItemId/952855

Not even for the airbag issue that has been flagged in the US. Perhaps that doesn't apply to our RHD cars?

Honestly,

There are many things in the RX-8 I have replaced under warranty, not because they have failed, but to upgrade to a better part they came up later, like the starter motor and engine mounts are new with some "complaining of symtoms" .

My question is? Is there a better model of HP fuel pump out there in BMW now? And if so... is the symptom of hard to start enough to get a warranty claim or do they ALWAYS have a code with failure?

I wanna fuel pump change if there is a better spec out there!

But it isn't even that quick as it has such good balance and so much grip! Come drive my 135i. It's much more of a hand full lol.

Andrew, how much for the SC kit just out of interest? I actually think Prof would find the SC useful for him. The way he drives, he doesn't utilise the upper rev range much, which means SC will make it more fun for him. Low end torque is just not there in the M3...

So does the SC give the M3 more low end torque? If so, it could be an interesting option but I think I'd wait till it was out of warranty - it's just too rad a mod for me ATM.

With day to day driving it's hard to get into the upper rev range - except when getting on the freeway on-ramp. That's about the only time I get to wind it out to 7000+, but by that time you're at 120kmh in second gear!

Stage 1 and 2 G power are less than that for the kits only.

about the original post. I changed my bulbs and left the back covers off the car. Washed it before replacing them. all moisture in the headlight drains to the module on the bottom. I will bet money that your bulb was fine, hope you didn't get charged for a new one. Once I disassembled the control module as you call it. (really it's just the ballast for the HID) I cleaned the corrosion put a new seal around it and my "burnt" out headlights work fine!

I got the invoice in the mail today. All the $ column filled with "warranty". It is one page long but no charge. I will keep it as a record.

I am not sure what the control module is really. Sound like it is a different item from the silver ballast attached to the xenon bulb. Andrew do you know?... now thing of it ... it is prob what it is. What the guy explained to me is they have tried to reprogram the light and it works intermittently. So they change to a new one.
