How To Disable PDC
Is there a way I can disable PDC on my 135i? In about a week I'll be trading rear bumpers with someone. His doesn't have PDC. I'm fine with losing PDC functionality on my car. My plan is to disable PDC, give him my bumper with the sensors (he knows PDC wont work on his car and doesn't care).
I can't find anything on it, and I'm about a week away from the bumper swap, so I want to test it out and make sure I can disable the PDC. Thank you. |

If you can code, you should check the B M W C O D I N G website. There is at least one thread explaining how to add PDC. By doing the reverse, you should be able to convince your car it doesn't exist. $507 or $508 will be in your vehicle order and you need to remove whichever is there. Then you can run NCS Expert and make a few other changes. Didn't look bad.
I still think it would be better to add the sensors to the new bumper and wire it. I also found installation instructions for retrofitting PDC so you could use those for wiring.

I would but me and the other guy are swapping bumpers, so that would leave him with PDC holes and no sensors lol.
I just unplugged the PDC module and took it out. No errors or codes and it works perfect. LUCKY! |
