EDIT>>> Shes finally home~!

hey guys , im heading to the BMW Dealer this week to buy a 135i that I put a deposit on.

Are there things that I should check to make sure it is a good car?

heres the link:

http://www.bmwmainline.com/Vehicle-D...aspx?id=384963

I offered $25k via phone call, expecting them to laugh at me... They accepted ))))) . but at the same time it seems almost too good to be true, with 25k miles and 2 full years warranty and maintenance.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

As long as you have that warranty it's smooth sailing. You might just have to sail over to the BMW dealership a lot for maintenance and repairs though. I've had mine for a little over three months and have been to the BMW dealership four times now for various things that needed to be done. I'm going again tomorrow for a new windshield washer pump and recall work. It's really not that big of an issue other than I live and hour and a half away from the nearest BMW dealership. They take really good care of me while I'm there though! I would defiantly get a car fax on it though.

Looks great. I may have chosen this combo had they still had Sedona red but it's darker vermilion now. And the fact that its a 6 speed has me sold. Be sure and post pics. Welcome to the club

Good car at good price

Its never "great" that its an auction car but this BMW dealer seems to have done a lot of maintenance to it including, if I remember the CarFax correctly, a coolant flush and fill which is somewhat unusual. Note that tires were changed after only 20,7xx miles and that seems a bit early. And, as noted above, hopefully you live not too far from the dealer. Learn to change the oil yourself and do it spring and fall. Join BMWCCA and get free catalogues from BavAuto. Its a great looking car. I have sedona red too.

See if you can get from them to install brand new brake pads, new water pump, oil and filter change and new tires to close the deal, maybe they will, you never know. Car looks really nice. Check that all recalls have been taken care of.

doesnt the scheduled maintenance cover oil changes and such? i would probably do it inbetween scheduled services anyway since ill be tuning it and its a turbo car.

Also interesting that you can see based on the carfax that they've had it for sale since December. Would tell you they might accept almost any half decent offer at this point if you're not locked into the $25k. Or, try to get them to throw in as much free stuff/extended warranties, etc. as possible. While I can't imagine you will find another sedona red on coral red, I imagine it's just as hard for them to find someone who wants to buy a used red on red on red. So, you've got to be in the perfect driver's seat, no pun intended. Good luck!

Seems like a good deal to me! I was just there too. My car was due for a scheduled service. I have a black over red car. Congrat's on the new ride! sounds like there are a few of us that are local. Maybe, a meet up sometime! Maybe, Tired Hands in Ardmore. Great Beer!!!

Looks great!

Now that you have it home, what do you think? I just purchased a 2010 128 coupe w/ 19K, CPO, NAV, etc. for 26k. The only complaint is the Boston leather seems cheap.

Enjoy your 135!

I'd get in writing about the two additional years of extended maintenance...it may be CPO but I find it hard to believe they will perform the maintenance for six full years...I may be wrong.
