I'd probably go back to the old format that I used to:
1 x Not so performance daily (F10 5 series or the like) 1 x off tap semi road illegal weekend/track car 1 x convert/or toorak tractor for the wife |

Sounds like what I have, except my not so performance daily is a C63 and my wifey toorak tractor is a X5M.

M1 - if they ever do bring it out, if not 1 or 2 year old M3. Best I can afford at the moment.
Car sales people, don't understand that bagging competition is just a cheap trick and repulses customers. I believe the merits of your own product should be enough to sell it. |

I don't understand how you guys are getting 10's from your 135's. I can't get less than 11.4 in a manual, and usually more up around 12's. I've done about 15,000 kms, so completly run in.
The only explaination is that I do a fair proportion of peak hour driving in Sydney - so very stop - start. Oh! And when I do get the chance, I can't help myself - I just love the feel & sounds of that thing. Perhaps that has something to do with it. |

First let me say that not all of us are COIs Way!
C63, X5M, Porsche Boxster Spider, for farks sake Way, what a garage! The bigger question here should be "what will Way buy next?" hahahahaha Back on topic, we went for a car that no one else has mentioned... yet. A TTS, similar power to weight to the 135i, maybe sllliiightly better, quattro, Sequential tranny and a perfect alternative to a Toorak Tractor for my wife. (I have an M already so there ) |

Wow - I didn't think I get so many responses. Interesting that 6 cylinder VW beetles seem to get a lot of votes. 1 more rule to this post - You have to able to afford it (as opposed to dream it). Some of these cars are more than double the price of the little entry level 135. For me, more than about $70k (ish) on a car and I'm too nervous to park it anywhere.
Originally I was thinking of keeping my car 4 - 5 years but today got the dreaded loooooong crank! So might need to cut my losses and escape. New Coyote engined Ford looks interesting. |

If nothing is out there that floats my boat then I'll keep te 135i or just change to the next shape when it arrives. Nothing out there really jumps at me at the moment |

I actually lost interest in my E92 M3 as a result of the 135i (modded) and purchased 997.2S instead (currently on the water from Germany) of the M3 & kept the 135i it's that good. Anyone who tells you the M3 is better has an ego problem.................
135i is best value for money performance car out there in all respects. Now maybe I have the ego problem since I purchased the Porsche! (still have a 125i conv though as well as the 135i so haven't deserted BMW altogether). |

I don't own a M3 or a 135i so I am impartial. The M3 is definitely the better car, in many many many ways. It's also build to withstand the abuses of track use, unlike the 135i where you will have to spend money on upgrading many parts to get it to that stage.
