C'mon think about it here.. the base 06 330ci coupe is 37,600. plus dest 695.. and thats only with 225 hp. 300 hp turbo has to be more than 40k. Im still guessing its going to start at 45k and end in the 52-55k range

You can't look at these cars in isolation. You need to consider the competition when GUESSING at a price. If you look at all the upgrades, new features, and increased power, its pretty easy to justify a $45k price tag for the 335 when compared to the current 330ci. However, throw the IS350, and the forthcoming new G35 coupe, among others into the mix, and you end up with pricing pressure to remain competitive. Here in the US, I dont' see the MSRP starting above $42k, and I wouldn't be surprised if it really came in around $40.5k.

i still say about 42k for a base, but your comparison to the base 330ci makes sense.

What you are not realizing is that the 335 takes the place of the 330ci. BMW cannot take away a 38k coupe and replace it with a 45k coupe base. That would be illogical and they would lose customers. Base will be right around 40...just wait and see.

Even if it is 48...which it wont be...I would still be getting the car

I gotta agree w/40k, even though the price of the M3 is going to go up I don't think they're going to have such a big jump from 330i to 335i. I'd be surprised if it was over 42k base.

Congrats. Not to rain on your parade but the MSRP on your options under current prices is $7,150. The MSRP on the 335i will be at least $40K. With a brand new model you are definitely going to pay MSRP so you are looking at paying at least $47K for this car.

Hey, if you are willing to pay it more power to you.

Well, then wouldn't it be just as bad of a business move to announce that the e92 is coming out this fall?

I will NOT be paying MSRP...I will post more details when the time comes closer. I am viewing the DCSnet Portal right now. I am with my CA right now and I have my production number and everything...I am stoked

I understand the argument of the 335 replacing the 330 so logically the price would remain close.

But this is not simply a power increase. Forget the 75 hp increase over 330ci or even the 45 hp increase over the e90, its the 300 lb ft of torque at 1450 rmps that is huge. Is there even a V8 that can do that? IMO this engine is more powerful then the current M3, and comparisons have even been made by BMW.

When was the last time a non-M 3 series dominated its competitors in straight line performance? When was any 3 series a touqe monster like this? BMW always beat the competition being down on hp and torque, but making up for it in other ways. Now it will simply dominate.

Pricing is a wierd thing. What is so great about the 6 series that it starts at $71,800? Its a bigger version of a fully loaded 335 coupe with and extra 60 hp and 60 ft lbs of torque and active suspension.

And no, no pricing updates on it yet. Pricing is still "blocked."
