fully agree, it is such a relief. The drone was really annoying me on longer trips.
Sorry that just curious how did you solve the drone issue. I have borla catback on my e92 335i....it drives me crazy as it drones the most at 1.5-2k range, which is the most common for crusing....help pls

I prefer this sound better than pretty much any of the other ones I've heard.

thanks for posting the video, I also just installed mine about 2 months ago and put on few hundred miles, sound is def better on start up, but driving under load about 2300rpm/2500rpm there is a huge drone compare to stock.
Don't know if you have that issue, but mine does, in the mean time my n55 mid came in few weeks ago and I'm about to put it on to see any improvement.

Trying to have a feel for it before and after the n55 midpipe. Will post the my result on here if you don't mine since I have the same exhaust.

Thanks!!
I cut back my connecting pipe 50mm..This in turn positions the muffler further back in the recess towards the heat shield.

Now the Eisenmann tips sit back under the diffuser and NO visible welds. Also looks more neater.

Well googling that paint name didn't find a US vendor, but it did find your thread where I found out I'm not the only one zonked by your wheels! Loved the other pics.

Overall practical 1M Exhaust System

So overall you are happy with with the performance sound compared to other system, did you consider any other, as I am in the process of deciding what is a good system which ticks all the boxes

It really depends on what are your picks on "boxes" as you call them; mine for instance are (with no particular order)
a) no or minimal drone
b) refined sound close to stock while cruising in and out of city
c) a deeper tone, more audible while at idle and in routine driving conditions
d) a sharper (call it louder) tone at full throttle acceleration
e) overall not fully altering the stock sound but enhancing it in every way
f) good built quality vs. the stock
g) warranty and reputation of maker and vendor
h) reasonable/competitive pricing
i) aesthetics of the tips and muffler (size, color, material etc.)
j) should give better throttle response especially at non-M mode
k) should rev better at the top end of band due to better flow
l) a bit more hp and torque wherever it is most needed (top of the band)
m) shouldn't create any engine issues including throwing codes, gas smell etc.
n) should be fully bolt on install with no fitment issues
0) should weigh equal or preferably less than the stock

As you see the list of "all boxes" can go on and on, and this is just my list, not even over thought, my personal preferances and expectations. Others may agree or disagree, and could have very different list with different priorities.

After having the 1M since October 2011 and planning to have it and following this Forum since July 2010, my very recently made choice is the following:

stock DPs + N55 mids + Evolve (Supersprint) Race 1M muffler.

I will tell if I will have all I wanted when I receive and install it. Hopefully soon and hopefully it will deliver

Ordered mine a few weeks back with the glossy black tips. Only the muffler without the midpipe. Can't wait to put it on my car. Had an eisenmann on my old e46 and was very happy with it. So the decision was easy. And the price is fair.

Akra would have been the other option, but in germany the wireless kit is not street legal. And that was the only point i would have spend that much money for an akra.

Received the info from eisenmann today, that they have problems with the glossy black tips. They offered me an alternative -> matt black tips.

What would you do? Take the matt black tips or standard tips?

After waiting so long, my Slip-on Eisenmann Sport Exhaust came today. Can't wait to put it on. Will have to make an appointment at my dealer. Will take pictures.
