KW Coilovers - what range of height adjustment?
I'm seriously looking into getting some KW Coilovers, perhaps v2 or street comfort.
I'm not looking to get the total slammed look but would like to have the option to adjust the ride height so that the tyre sits approx half inch off the fender for the front and perhaps flush on the rear. Can someone tell me what height the KW coilovers are at their highest setting as I wouldn't like this to be already set too low if I wanted it a little higher which gives me no scope for adjustment. I suspect the front of the hatch is the same as the coupe and perhaps the hatch has less clearance than the coupe on the rear as stock Here are some pics I took of my 130i M Sport which I have over exposed just so that the clearance can be seen better. Front Rear Another option is just to get Eibach springs but from what I have read on some forums, some installations have hardly had any effect on ride height with one person saying it's higher than stock M Sport! I think the Coupe Eibach springs must be lower than the hatch as the pics I've seen on here prove that.

KW V2 coils have a min-max adjustment of 1.2"-2.1" front and .9"-2" rear. Here is my car on V2s, I can go lower but need to be able to drive the thing

Thanks Nick
So I assume the highest setting is 1.2" lower than stock. Nice wheels, Can I ask what are they and size/offset? They seem to fit the 1er perfect!

I just installed mine today. I have 8 clicks open for front and 6 clicks for the rear. Current the height for the front is 13" (measured from roundel to top of wheel fender, and the rear is also the same. See photo.

Thanks for the photo. Do you have a closer up photo showing the gap in between the front fender and tyre?

Glad you like the wheels, they are the Vorsteiner V-302's in a 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 front and rear. I am running Nitto INVOs in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 which is a bit aggressive. I suggest a 225/35/19 and 255/30/19.

Sorry I did not count the number of treads. What I did was trial & error. Just keep adjusting until its perfect. I would wait a few days between adjustment to let the springs settle.

Thanks for the pictures. Can I ask if there is scope to make the height any higher or are you already near the top of the adjustment thread?
