Bluetooth vs USB

Bluetooth sounds a lot better than the USB cable with my iPhone... anyone what might be the problem? Would a better iPod cable do the trick or it is the connection between the usb to the HK that is causing the problem?

I dont apear to have any problems with the bluetooth connection on 'Older' phones, but when I connect my Samsung Galaxy it can sometimes disconnect, not good when you are driving!! So who knows what the answer is other than it doesn't appear to be the car connection!!
