16" Rims on 2013 135i Msport work for snows?
Hello, I searched but couldnt find any threads about 16" rims, if they will fit on my E88 for use in the snow. Looking at the brake rotors and calipers it didnt look like anything under 17" rims would fit. Do all 1's have the same size rotors and calipers?
Thanks, Brian

16" wheels won't clear the big 6-piston front calipers. I run 17" wheels for track use and the clearance is minimal at best on those as well. They literally just clear the brakes.
All 135i's have the big 'Brembo' brakes that are finished in either Sparkling Graphite Metallic or Space Grey Metallic. 128i's have smaller brakes, and the 1M has the brakes from the E9X M3. Last edited by tock172; 11-07-2016 at 05:04 PM.. |

Thanks, figures had a good line on 16" BMW wheels. Hopefully whatever 17s I get they fit, leaning towards used BMWs vs new aftermarket.

My pleasure. Personally, I would shoot for a set of Style 68s for winter beaters. You can usually find a set relatively cheap, they clear the brakes without issue and they have a nice tasteful look that I believe has aged well.
