Reverse mirrors not adjusting

Recently when I put my car in reverse , the mirrors don't adjust. Anyone know why?

Is your mirror adjustment switch flipped to the left side? Leaving it on the right side disables the automatic reverse adjustment.

If thats not it then it must be some coding issue or your side window motors are blow in which case mirror adjustment would not function at all. I've had various silliy electric related things happen to my car, disconnected the battery for 10 mins or so and good as new.

My mirrors have never done this when I go in reverse. In fact, I've never been sure if they were supposed to do it at all with the options I have.

I always figured it was a standard feature. My buddy's 525 from like 2000 did this as well so I would be shocked if yours doesn't, Sylon. Just make sure the little switch is set to the left mirror.

You must not parallel park often. I used to live in a touristy beach town and always had to parallel park and really liked having the feature to help me park close to the curb. It's nice to be able to turn it on and off, as I rarely use it now.

this feature is amazing if you park on the street ever, I always had such a hard time seeing how close I was to the curb in my last car and this makes it so much easier

You have to have power/memory seats in order for the passenger's side mirror to tilt down in reverse.

Never realized how useful this feature was until the mirror motor blew on my X5.

But get this, the dealer wants $1300 to fix it! Part of this is because they said that 9 out of 10 times the mirror cracks and so they want to charge me for the mirror if they crack it!

Checked on ecstuning and the motor is only approx $165 so I guess I will do it myself.
