Week One - I LOVE MY CAR!

I picked up my car last Thursday (10/29) at the Performance Center. What an awesome experience. I don't think I can add anything to what has already already been said about it, except that if you have the opportunity you should not pass it up. I cannot think of a better way to pick up a new car. European Delivery maybe... but you don't get to drive on a track doing the maneuvers that they put you through at PCD. You really get comfortable with what your car can do very quickly.

The car itself is awesome. It takes my breath away every time I step into my garage and see it sitting there. I love the AW and Coral Red color combo. I replaced the chrome kidneys with matte black ones and it's a huge improvement. I also tried to replace the stock trunk spoiler with a painted FRP version of the Performance CF spoiler but I wasn't happy with the quality of the fitment so I went back to stock. I'm going to attempt to get the windows tinted this weekend.

My only complaints about it are that it really seems to get noticed by other drivers while on the road and my commute seems way too short now; I just want to keep driving. It seems a lot of drivers want to race. They see my car coming and decide they have something to prove. My previous ride was a bit of a sleeper so I'm not really used to this. I'm hoping that some tint might reduce some of that. I think it's the AW/Coral Red color combo that gets noticed and I'm hoping that darker windows might reduce that effect.

Anyway, here are some pics from the delivery phase of PCD:

So far, it doesn't bother me. It turns out that they tray is a good place to keep my sunglasses case.

I'm happy with the space as well and use it for the same thing. I've said it before and I'll say it again... the only people who hate the '10 changes are those who do not have them. I haven't heard many 2010 owners complain about the larger mirrors or open space vs ash tray, only '08-'09 owners...

I just checked my 3rd brake light today after 1,000mi in the car... it's broken already!

Wow, that blows. Have you been opening and closing your trunk a lot? I'm curious as to what makes it break. The trunk does close kinda hard if you aren't careful. I've been trying to close it more gently to reduce shock in the hopes that the light doesn't get broken.

I think it breaks from the body of the car contorting around corners. It's a VERY tight fit in the trunk. When I was picking my car up I looked at all of their demo cars (3 cars) and all were broken. I informed them and they said they had no idea it was even an issue but would fix all.

The car body shouldn't contort like that. I think it's gotta be from shock. Either closing the trunk or driving over bumps.

i agree, i cant even tell the mirror are bigger in absorber's pics. i like the open tray instead of the ashtray since i dont smoke, but i would have liked the cover to have stayed
