OK, the unimaginative excuse for a car enthusiast formerly known as RickMsport here... I settled on CAVU. Short, simple, all caps, easy to remember acronym with a nod to my personal and professional association with aviation.

Don't we get veto power? This is really going to throw me off and take awhile to get used to. Why not go with ArtistFormerlyKnownasRickMsport? Too long?

How bout one that combines your first name, last name, social, and birthday? That'd be helpful.

Very weird to see this. I'm still recovering from and getting used the to "c" being added in your name. =P

Just great... a green non-profit adopted the CAVU acronym as their name without asking me first. They'll need to get over my fuel and tire consumption habits.

I wonder if Earthraper is available?

Here are pics of the 1M strut brace:

As you can see, the piece which goes over the shock tower is a pretty substantial piece of metal. I really wish the strut brace was one piece instead of two pieces. Don't know if the two piece setup results in less rigidity. I got the setup now due to making sure I can still get the parts and to ensure I have the most flexibility in choosing suspension components (ie ones which have top adjustment knobs.)

As for the install, I was going to do this myself but had the dealership do it as I had my car in the shop already for another job. Based on what I see and any absence of comments from the service adviser about the mod, I assume it was a straight forward install without any modifications required.

I wouldn't do it. I've heard of too many horror stories.

Finally Installed My PPK Placard!

Y'all would be so proud of me as I finally put on my PPK placard after way too many months of having it sit on my desk. I posted it in the what did you do for your car today, but here are the same pics here as well. Thanks Scot, Henry, and Rick!

Very nice!

Ugh....looking at your engine bay pictures and the ones I just posted of my 1M shock tower brace, I really need to clean my engine bay.

Or you can just give me your strut tower braces! Really I just want the covers.

I just wipe mine down every couple of months with some extra cockpit premium I have a ton of. It helps that it never rains in LA anymore.

Welcome to the forums CAVU ;-)

Earthraper does have a great sound to it. Sounds like a death metal band or something.

Greg, your engine bay is cleaner than mine was on the day I picked up my car at the dealer! Looks ridiculously good.

And now for some after wash shots. The one picture really shows the BSM color spectrum well.
