73!
Have had (what I call) sport model cars since high school (1954/58). '52 MGTD thru college (northern Idaho). '60 Porsche 356B. '69 Sunbeam Tiger. '76 Porsche 911S (just sold for more than I paid for it - clutch wore out my hip). '10 135i. (e88) I love my 135i - the right mix of power, handling, looks and (I know I am 73) sex-appeal. Each of my past cars carries warm memories but at this point in my life, my e88 meets all of my needs. Yep! I, too, wonder what my MG and my 356B would be worth today if I had been wise enough to have kept them. |

53...
A LeMans Blue 135 was the first, sold it 2 years later for the second one, my 1M. VO color highly influenced by a bright orange 2002 that I saw during my younger days. I drive the 1M when the weather is nice as my Honda CRV is the daily beater. Happily I've put 17,000 miles on her, sadly I'm losing value as low mileage 1Ms are selling for crazy prices... Ultimately I have about 22 more years of enjoyment ahead before I should think about "willing" her down to my kids |

65, but the 128i M-Sport 6MT Convertible is the wife's car, and she's 55. I've owned 5 Porsches from 1990 to 2001, when I switched to BMW, and between the 2 of us, we've owned 6 BMWs (3 E46, 1 E92, 1 E88, and our new F30 335i).

26, just bought my 08 135 as a DD. Its my fifth BMW, and I plan to keep it for the long haul. Also in my driveway are an 04 S2000, 06 S2000, and 13 X5 35i. I now own both an n54 and an n55. :-)

Also have a Jeep for the beach and Honda Odyssey for hauling the family. |

51 - I got my 128 vert in preparation for turning 50, as my Z4 wasn't cutting it for this phase of my life. This is my 5th BMW (hence the username), but I think it's worth noting that at 22, I got out of college and bought a MB 190E with a stick, so this is like coming back to my roots.
In my 30's, I rode motorcycles, and when I gave that up at 40, my BMW purchases became exclusively convertibles. |

But alas, the wife has a new job and often leaves me home w/out a car. So of course, I needed to fill the void w/ a 135is. What would I have done if she was gone with the Prius and I needed to go the grocery store? Or the dentist?

25. My first BMW - picked her up this morning. Coming from a (wait for it) Honda Civic.
Please forgive the halogens, for they know not what they do. Sadly, there's snow all around... and here I am without winter tires. She'll be doing a lot of sitting around this winter while I drive my Civic. |

I'm 28, and bought my 135 with 25,000 miles on it. I've driven it daily through summer and winter in Michigan for 3 years and 40,000 miles. Definitely been a fun car for sure. I came from an Evo IX with an upgraded turbo, cams, and bolt ons, so it was a bit of a change in every way when I got this car, but it's been exactly what I wanted. I had a 350Z, and a WRX also, so this was my first time venturing into BMW ownership (and German cars all together). My 135 is FBO, with meth and E85 at this point, and it's a great quick daily driver. I used to have a much longer commute for work, which racked up some miles but now I only put about 5 miles a day on the car. I always recommend a 135 to people looking for a fun 2 door daily driver with plenty of power to have fun around town.

Luckily we're snow-free next week, and I have the rest of the year off work. So, never fear. Enjoyment will be had. |
