That is direct from Donabelle Esposo at South Bay BMW Internet Sales...

Holy mama... there's a head spinner for you.

Sounds like a stereo-typical car sales person who doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.

Z4M Coupe (euro version) 0-100kmh (0-62 mph) in 5.0s, weight: 1420 kg, 300L of boot space, 250kmh Vmax limited, 6-speed manual only.

US will get same N54 VTT engine but with slightly different specifications, sinces the US have different fuel formulas than Europe so BMW are taking their time on this matter before launching the car in US in late Summer. Enviromental standards LEV II should be met first. Also if BMW launched EU version engine in the US they could have a considerable amount of damages to account for - due to different fuel. N54 is now being prepared to meet US enviromental standards and to use US fuel without w/o problems.

Again: no 3.5L NA I6 engine for US, but VTT 3.0L I6 with slightly different specs. SpeedFreak! is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember guys what Tine is saying! True: I lost some reputation due to E92 press release specific dates fiasco - being flip-flopping, but I had my reasons for doing so. Nothing to do with guessing. My sources are trustworthy, you'll see that in the end.

The info I'm providing about 335i is TRUE!

Cough, cough... bullsh!t.

Tine is in charge of putting out disinformation. Bmw directed him to because they didnt want the competition to read these boards and figure out what was going on. It masks the credible sources. He has been wrong about everything! lol

Watch the news these days - leaked Z4 Coupe pics are to appear followed by official PR next week.

3er Coupe PR will follow (incl. 3.0L VTT I6 engine). As will 3-door 1-series for sure and possibly M5 touring. All before Geneva auto show.

So sad, yet so true.

Funny thing happened today. I had one of my recent M5 customers come in today to check on the release of the M6. (He's one of those people that only deal with the owner and the top people.) He asked me if BMW had changed their minds about the M6 convertible and were going to build it... so of course, I told him yes. As he was leaving, he stopped to tell the GSM that he wanted the first one to which the GSM said, "We're not getting the M6 convertible." They called me over to "put me in my place" at which point I tried to set them straight. I know you had to be there... but try to imagine how funny that had to look in the middle of the floor. I seriously love the GSM, so I share this story with all due respect.
At this point, I went back to my desk to get the documentation in order to substantiate my position. Through wide eyes and gaping mouth... he says, "Well I guess we are getting the M6 convertible."
I know... you had to be there...

My most reliable source claims the Press Kit will be released with the unveiling in Geneva. I also have sources that say we could see something official prior to the show in order to ramp up excitement, but not until Feb... as I have said many times before.

Well, the F14s are all going to the scarp yard.

I am sure the 335i will have a warp engine.

Hey, if indeed there's 335 on the way along with a 328 and the 325 is going bye bye, THEN I WANT MY MONEY BACK FROM BMW AND SOMEONE AT BMW NEEDS TO BE FIRED for producing a brand new 3-series body and then phasing it out one year after its insertion. ITS JUST NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, it seems like we're all looking at the Geneva Auto Show to see what the real story is.

Sorry, but it still looks like a deadlock on whose source is better. Whoever gives the "date for PR for US 335" has a better source or should I say a higher source in the BMW corporate food chain that's what I just think.

Tine,

Let me read that PM that you sent SpeedFreak. I'll keep it hush hush.

Who cares! For about a day I was contemplating that I shouldnt have bought the 330 and shoulda waited for the 335. But the more I drive the 330, the more I like it. Now I dont give a damn if they make a 350. It's just more money, less mileage/gallon, and 55 more hp. Big whoop. Frankly, Im sick and tired of seeing those IS bashing threads and people who try to justify buying a 325/330. Just enjoy your car and quit complaining!!

The body stays the same until the mid-life refresh in a couple years (2009?). The engine is changing but they did this with the e46 after 2 years. As for the e90, it appears it will get a new engine about a year and a half after it was introduced(4/05-9/06 in the US). Thats only 6 months earlier than the e46 got its new engine.

Still I understand your frustration.
