Hope All the guys and trot families in QLD and WA are okay. From the little I've read at least all of you are safe. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

In the US at the moment, so a million miles away from all of this.

Please be safe guys and don't take too many chances.

I'm quite far away from all the action, but it still hasn't stopped the effects... Suppliers have called this morning to say they will have trouble delivering, and one has said they are evacuating! Interesting times ahead.

Good luck for everyone up there. My paraplegic Uncle will be evacuated from a warned Brisbane suburb as we speak.

The discussion about supplies really hits home. I start to wonder as a diabetic just how I would react in a situation like this. Thank god for a streamlined Emergency Management system in QLD, they seem to be doing a great job.

We've started rationing out insulins since yesterday + ventolin + other life sustaining meds. One of the wholesalers are flying stock in though, but they didn't tell us till like 15 minutes away from the cutoff.

That's good to hear. How is refrigeration happening? Obviously (well, natural to me) that refrigeration is as important as the supplies themselves.

Just one thing that would take precedent over everything else for me. I can't imagine how panicked I'd be without spares.

We are actually not getting the insulins as they can't guarantee how long the supplies will get to us. Ie - we are rationing them out.

How is everyone doing? Sounds like most of us on here were pretty lucky.

I had 30km left of fuel today and every servo I went to was sold out of Premium 98!! I started panicking after I went to about 5 servos that didn't have it so decided to venture out further south because I thought that would be my best chance with the little fuel I had left. I found a BP that had it and was told that everyone was in a mad rush and buying up, some buying upwards of 200L. I ended up going back and filling up a 20L jerry can just in case they run out next week which would buy me a couple more days. A full tank only gets me 3 days at the most anyway. Just thought I would give you's all a heads up incase you're low on fuel!

Don't even get me started I hate filling up anywhere now and I've had such a long list in my head of no go servos around Brisbane. But that's just got alot longer after seeing so many under water on the TV the last couple of days!

Hello everyone,

I trust this email finds everyone in good spirits and thought you may like to view the following if you, your family, friends or your clients were affected by the flooding, as it may be of assistance to them financially:

http://www.centrelink.gov.au/interne...ec10_agdrp.htm

Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP)

Payments of $1,000 per eligible adult and $400 per eligible child will be made if:
  • a person was seriously injured, or
  • a person is the immediate family member of an Australian killed as a direct result of the disaster, or
  • a person’s principal place of residence has been destroyed, or
  • a person’s principal place of residence has sustained major damage, or
  • a person is unable to gain access to their principal place of residence for a period of 24 hours or more, or
  • a person is stranded in their principal place of residence for a period of 24 hours or more, or
  • a person's principal place of residence was without electricity, water, gas, sewerage services or another essential service for at least 48 hours (a utility failure) and the utility failure was caused by damage to public or private infrastructure, or
  • a person is a principal carer of a dependent child who has experienced any of the above.
