How much camber to fit 245-35-18's

I have a set of D-force ltw5's 18x9 et 41 that I want to run on the front of my 1er. They fit fine on my e90 but looks like I'll need some extra camber for them to fit on my 1. I put a set of 255/35/18 on the rear and it looks great, there is some rubbing when hitting dips in the road so I'm hoping getting the fenders rolled will do the trick.

I want to put the stock rear tires that are 245/35/18 on the ltw5's and put those on the front. How much camber will I need? If I get the TRW M3 lower control arms, those add .75 of negative camber. Will that be enough? Or will I need the dinan fixed camber plates too?

Thanks!

First off, I think it will rub the strut. 5mm spacer should fix that. Then with the 245's, it will depend alot on what brand tires you chose. But overall I'd say you will need at least 2 deg camber. Btw the M3 control arms really don't add that much camber and if they did it wouldn't count quite the same because they push the bottom of the wheel out, not tuck the top of the wheel in. Also they might make you rub the strut more.

I have 5 mm spacers so no problem there. The tires are Bridgestone potenza RE050A rft's. So I'm no suspension expert but if your pushing the bottom of the wheel out how would you not end up tucking the top of the wheel in?

The tires are 35's not 40's so not sure if the skinnier tire would give me any more clearence.

Looks like this guy had the dinan plates and m3 control arms. Think -2.3 would be enough?

If you want solid, go with Dinan Plates. You get -1.5 camber off of them and it's really just a metal plate to move the mounting points. If you are still wearing down the outer edges, get M3 control arms as well which give you better steering feel as an additional benefit. This will get you around -2.3 deg, which is pretty ample for track.

I did go more extreme though with Vorshlag's and M3 arms, which give -3.7 deg camber, which I've found fantastic for track. There was a little squeaking the first 500 miles with the Vorshlag's in my case. Now there is zero noise and I don't notice any extra sound after 10 month, 7 autox's, and 3 track days.

I think the 9" wheel is going to be a tight fit even if you run some serious negative camber. Check the link below. Compare your width and offset to the width and offset of the Arc-8s (8.5" & 45). Without spacers, your 2.4mm closer to the strut and poke out 10.4mm toward the fender. You'll likely need to run 5-6mm spacers which will make the wheel poke out even further. With spacers, the poke will be nearly 30mm from where the OEM wheels sit. Good luck and let us know if you get it to work.

Thanks for the link! Cool little tool there! I'm fairly certain they'll fit as it looks like these guys did it with a wider tire. Although the car does have camber plates. I'll join that site later and ask that company if they remember the settings they dialed in to get it to fit.

These guys ran major negative camber to make these work, I believe -3ish because of the wider wheel. Most people who run 245s or 255s run an 8.5 inch wheel to avoid additional problem.

Ok, good to know. If I were to run that much camber how bad would that be for the street? Just increased tire wear? Eventually I'll end up buying the arc-8's with the right offset, but for now would like to get by with what I have.

Definitely increased tire wear on the inside edge. You'd only get to use maybe 50% of the tires normal life.
