Do we need to remove the air bag for us to remove the steering wheel trim??

:iono::iono::iono: i'm planing to chang my steering wheel trim...but do i have to remove the air bag to do that???? and if i do....should I disconnect the battery b4 I pop out the air bag????

cant find a DIY for removing the trim on the performance M steering wheel. i wanna get the carbon fiber one or wrap it.

you dont need to remove completely....
i left the wires NOT removed, I let the airbag sit on my left elbow while switching out the trim.
