Hey Gents,
if anyone is interested in VMR wheels, I suggest you check out european auto source. They offer the complete range of VMR wheels and colours, with offsets that are suitable for the 135i. I imported a staggered set of 19" V710's in Gunmetal, with Yokohama Advan Neova AD08's. The total cost of the "landed" package was excellent, in particular that of the tires, as they were ridiculously cheap. Their pre and post sales customer support is fantastic, David's email response time and product knowledge was superb. I have done more than just a little bit of shopping for my e82 in the last two months, well actually a shitload of shopping. I can tell you for a fact, that not all US based vendors are the same with respect to customer service. Feel free to PM for the specifics. Cheers, Justin. |

Hey Kenny,
hmmm, perhaps... I have it on good authority, that what you saw at Advan, was only stage 1 of the install, haha. I, I mean "he", is still waiting on a LOT more "goodies" to cross the pond. At the moment the car is totally stock. However that is about to change, hehe. Anyway, for all you guys that are looking at purchasing VMR wheels, do yourself a favour and contact David at eas. You will not be disappointed by either his price or customer service. |

Thanks.
There is a little srcubbing on the outer rears, if I hit a reasonable bump at speed. However I have a set of KW Variant 2 Coilovers to install. So I am hoping once the suspension rebound is stiffened some, that will no longer be an issue. If that is not the case, I will have to roll the rear guards. I should mention that David @ eas recommended a 245 over a 255 on the rears, in an effort to eliminate the potential for scrubbing. I was very keen to run 19's and was not about to fit a 245 on a 9.5" rim. But damn, don't they look tough, haha. |

Hey alik01 & Unkie,
thanks guys. "The gunmetal looks hot! Love that colour for wheels, think it works so much better than black" Ya, I totally agree. It's very hard to pull off the black on black look. IMHO, the "lighter" colour Gunmetal wheel contrasts the car nicely and makes the 19's look bigger still, hehe. |

Nice pick on the gunmetal.
Too often matt black rims look like the hubcaps fell off and the car is on steelies... Is there much clearance up front with the 225 tyres? Reckon 235/35 up front would scrub? |
